I started over watching S1E1 and I'm now watching S2E5 and someone just mentioned Jon Snow killed a white. WTF are they talking about? He killed a zombie. Was that the white?

I'm now at S2E7. Theon holds Winterfell, but the wild whore just jetted and Robb has allies on the way to liberate it. Anaya or whatever, my fav character, just used her second wish... Tyrion is proving to be the smartest, most honorable character. Khalessi just had her dragons stolen (I assume by the fat trader guy.). Robb is still kicking Tywin's ass. Robert's older(?) brother just killed the gay younger, which sucked as his character was solid and interesting, via witchcraft.
Not asking about anything, just letting you know where in the story I am. Lots of folks dead who are far too interesting to be dead. Lots alive who are meh. A couple I can't wait to watch die.

I've done a decent job of avoiding spoilers. It helps that fewer people talk about this show than a few years back.
I know some folks who die, and have heard things here and there that lead me to logical conclusions about other deaths, but nothing is certain. So for example: While googling the "white" or "wight" Jon killed I saw he gets named "King" of a certain area. Based on where I am in the story I thought this meant someone else has to die. However, after this last episode I realized it probably means a completely different geological area than the one below the wall. Thus, I no longer know if ____ dies or not.
I think you'd be disappointed by my reaction videos. I've had very little reaction to anything so far. I did laugh audibly at Kaleesi's brother's death the first time I watched. I laughed at someone's death again recently, but I forget who. I think it was a second tier character.
This might piss some of you off: I'm not sold on George R. R. Martin's writing ability or something gets lost in the translation here. The overall story is great and I'm enjoying the show, but it's the little things that really annoy me. I think that's where the show fails and it bugs the shit out of me. Character motivations and behaviors. There's just no consistency or logic.
Ned Stark's moronic behavior in season one that led to everything. The queen being so manipulative, yet she can't control her child. Ditto for Tywin who HAS to have heard what the hell his grandson is doing. Yeah, he sent Tyrion to control the brat, but he's the reason the war is on. Kill his stupid ass, sue for peace, put someone you can control on the throne and then worry about the other people invading you. And that's another thing, the fucking capital city is about to be invaded by an army that will walk over them, and grandpa Lanister won't sue for peace so he can go defend the power they're fighting in the north to hold onto? Terrible. Everything about Theon's return to the Iron Islands and his taking of Winterfell has been terrible. He was never portrayed as insecure, yet that's the entire motivation behind his actions. "My men won't respect me if I don't murder this guy who essentially raised me." Horseshit. And the adviser's speech to try to change his mind was garbage too. At any point all he had to do was point out that "If you do this, there's no turning back. Everything else can be forgiven, but not this. You're, literally, sitting in enemy territory hundreds of miles from reinforcements. Robb Stark is beating the shit out of Tywin fucking Lanister, has a massive army within striking distance of you, and you think he'll let this slide? You might earn your men's respect, but it won't mean shit in a month because you'll be dead." Theon grew up in Winterfell, yet he betrays them all without a thought? Where has that ever been displayed in his character? How is he not aware of the North's military power? You're a single banner from an island invading the central city of a vast territory that multiple banners have pledged allegiance to and it's not on an island. In what dreamworld does any of that make sense to a military leader?

There's plenty of reasons for Theon to be a complete mess.
While true, it's more accurate to say that "Theon spent his younger years as a hostage in Winterfell..." He wasn't there because the Stark house is kind enough to take him in as a kid. He was there as a hostage to ensure that the King of the Iron Isles didn't attack the North. I'm sure he was treated well enough but that's something that would always hang over his position there, not to mention the consideration that his father may have put him there because he was just disposable enough to be given up if an attack of the North was ever necessary.Theon grew up in Winterfell...

So during the siege, the big armored bastard sliced up Tyrion. He was the king's personal guard. Did I miss a conversation where the king told him to kill Tyrion in the heat of battle or is this something that gets addressed later?
The "shocking" reveal of the butchered boys not being the Stark lads was as far from shocking as possible. I knew what was going to happen the minute the Stark boys got to the farm and described the children there.
I wish I lived in a world where every woman acted like the ones in this show. Has there ever been a more sexually liberated class of people who also are just one step above slaves? It's a bit unrealistic when only Sansa Stark has modesty and is hesitant to have sex. Every other woman in this world is like a porn star who loves the business so much they work for free. Women are getting naked, eating pussy, begging men to fuck them, etc. I think if I ever went to a Q&A with George R. R. Martin my first question would be: "Have you ever actually talked to a real woman?"

Here's where the story is at the end of S2E9:
-Tywin just took his army to King's Landing to save the day.
-Sansa had her period.
-Joffrey is still a twat.
-The queen really exposed her cuntiness during the battle.
-Tyrion was laid low(er) by the king's personal guard who was then stabbed through the face by some kid with a spear.
-The queen mistook another whore for Tyrion's whore, now true love.
-Kaleesi's dragons are being held hostage in Qarth by that weird wizard and the overly ambitious black guy.
-Arya(sp?), Robert's bastard, and the chubby kid were just freed when Arya used her last "wish". (I so want someone I can name three names to...although, I would really have to sit and consider consequences to list the correct names.)
-The Stark lads, the wild chick, and Mordor (or whatever) are all fine, but still hiding. I think hiding right under Theon's nose.
-Theon still holds Winterfell, but his sister didn't bring reinforcements, and instead told him to come home.
-Robb's second in command has told his bastard to take back Winterfell, so that's coming.
-Robb arrested his mom and just this episode started diddling the lady acting as nurse.
-Stannis' (being the last Baratheon standing) attack on King's Landing failed. (Where the fuck was his witch?)
-Kat's new female body guard is escorting Jaimie back to King's Landing. Apparently Kat's as dumb as her husband.
-Jon has been captured by the northerners because he couldn't kill (or fuck) the hot redheaded girl. Quinto (or whatever) is also captive and has a plan to make them believe in Jon. I think he's going to have Jon kill him.
-The Northerners seem to be interested that Jon is Stark's bastard.
-The scumbag pimp and the fat eunuch are still alive.
-We didn't hear from the gay king's lover and widow this last episode. Or did we? Did the gay lover (also a great knight) show up with Tywin to save King's Landing? That would make complete sense considering they wanted revenge on Stannis.
