Don't let it bother you. You can't change anything, don't waste energy worrying about it. Give that energy to friends and family, things that make you happy.

It helps to turn off the news. Half of them are openly at war with him, half of them cover for him, all of them are lying to various degrees.

Aw, don't let it get you down. Sure we might all die in nuclear fire, but an asteroid could hit the earth any day, too, and you weren't losing any sleep over that. No point in worrying over things you can do nothing about.

Maybe this will help you feel better: here's a pretty good analysis of how Trump reacts to people.

I doubt this will make you feel much better, but I don't think we're screwed because of Trump. I think we have slipped too far down a path that no human would be able to pull us out from. In the end I think the only really bad that will come from this administration is the same bad that would come from any other. That's them telling us that they can do something about the inevitable crash that's coming. At that point we will be looking for someone to blame. Very unlikely that Trump will bring on something worse than what's coming.

The Russians just want chaos and us sniping at each other and unable to agree enough to do anything while they do what they're going to do. Did you see where they were talking about giving us Snowden as a "gift" to Trump? More chaos. That's all they're after.

No, that first paragraph DID NOT make me feel better. Jesus Christ.

I'm with you on the second one. I was thinking about that before going to bed last night. If we assume that the White House is going to be in semi-chaos for a while... what is the WORST that can happen? The markets and our investments don't seem to care for now. So how much do we investigate, knowing that we should not set a precedent for this behavior being successful, but knowing that either way we kind of lose?

Backup plan:
I'm going to see what New Zealand's squatting rules are next week and try to steal Peter Thiel's house.

I honestly don't think it is possible for any human outside it... us regular people... to truly be informed, with the current people we have giving us the news. Even half informed. The fact that peeps still have such strong opinions about bad information is confounding.

Dipshit Drumpf appears to be toying with the idea of sending troops to Syria. Because I guess we have nothing better to fund.

The Clintons (both) illegally took money from foreign powers. Nobody gave a shit.

Not defending Trump and his cronies in the slightest, but it's pretty funny how each got treated by the MSM.

I think once the transcripts come out on the conversations, if it turns out this wasn't bigger than Watergate, Pearl Harbor and the September 11th attacks (seriously... "journalists" are saying that), these quotes should be attributed and repeated until careers are ended.

Not really surprising. The same thing could be said in reverse about various issues and Breitbart. And I don't know about you, but I can't see much different between Brietbart and MSM in terms of journalistic integrity (i.e. no journalistic integrity at all).

No careers will end even if the taped conversations are innocent. That's because their job isn't to report any sort of facts, it's to get people to watch their advertisements. If they can do so by claiming everything that happens is the biggest thing to ever happen then that's what they will do. Eyeballs = success; facts are irrelevant, and frequently an outright determent to their ad placement strategies.

I couldn't agree with you more.

Print didn't die, investigative reporting and journalistic integrity did.

Dipshit Drumpf is preparing his next exec order to get overturned.
Dipshit Drumpf announced Thursday that his administration will be releasing a new, narrower executive order on travel to replace one that's been shot down by multiple federal courts.
...
"We had a very smooth rollout... but we had a bad court," Drumpf said. He said the new order will be "very much tailored to what I consider to be a very bad [court] decision."

And thus, it is confounding to me that so many people have such strong opinions about things they don't know.

I hate the players AND the game, because the players are being so stupid.

This somehow reminds me of the "House, M. D.," episode where he has to treat a completely asshole teenager (in effect, mini-House) and has the unpleasant task of informing the mother that, no, her son isn't an asshole because of a mental condition, he's just naturally that way.
"Most amateur diagnosticians have mislabeled President Trump with the diagnosis of narcissistic personality disorder. I wrote the criteria that define this disorder, and Mr. Trump doesn't meet them," Frances wrote in a letter to the New York Times.
...
"Mr. Trump causes severe distress rather than experiencing it and has been richly rewarded, rather than punished, for his grandiosity, self-absorption and lack of empathy," Frances wrote.

"It is a stigmatizing insult to the mentally ill (who are mostly well behaved and well meaning) to be lumped with Mr. Trump (who is neither).
...
"Psychiatric name-calling is a misguided way of countering Mr. Trump's attack on democracy. He can, and should, be appropriately denounced for his ignorance, incompetence, impulsivity and pursuit of dictatorial powers," he wrote.

"His psychological motivations are too obvious to be interesting, and analyzing them will not halt his headlong power grab. The antidote to a dystopic Trumpean dark age is political, not psychological.""

Says Big Brother.
The FAKE NEWS media (failing @nytimes, @NBCNews, @ABC, @CBS, @CNN) is not my enemy, it is the enemy of the American People!

Not really. They are just shameless hucksters of advertising; highly unpleasant but not evil. If anyone in that equation is bad enough to be considered detrimental to America it's the people that consume the media uncritically.
