Because this fucko has nothing more pressing to attend to.
My daughter Ivanka has been treated so unfairly by @Nordstrom. She is a great person -- always pushing me to do the right thing! Terrible!
Are you fistfucking me? If she'd pushed you to do the right thing, you wouldn't have run for office.

I've said it for years, stupidity is contagious.
“I don’t see what their defense is,” said Campaign Legal Center general counsel Lawrence Noble, who is also former counsel for the Federal Election Commission. “She did this on television. She was very clear it was advertising. Hopefully at the very least they will acknowledge this is wrong.”

Don W. Fox, former general counsel and former acting director of OGE, told The Washington Post that “Conway’s encouragement to buy Ivanka’s stuff would seem to be a clear violation of rules prohibiting misuse of public office for anyone’s private gain.”
But wait, there's more.
Conway’s endorsement of the Ivanka business also highlights an awkward reality for a White House threatening U.S. companies seeking to move jobs or operations overseas. Nearly all of Ivanka-brand merchandise is manufactured in low-cost-labor countries, including China, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

Given how Trump brought out the steaks and brochures constantly during the election, I suspect being able to use the White House as a marketing opportunity was one of his main motivations. He's going to be very disappointed.

At a listening session with county sheriffs from around the country, Drumpf invited the sheriffs seated in the White House’s Roosevelt Room to make a statement while reporters were present. Rockwall County, Texas, Sheriff Harold Eavenson spoke up first to discuss asset forfeiture, a practice by which law enforcement can seize the cash and property of individuals suspected of committing a crime without a guilty verdict.
...
“On asset forfeiture, we’ve got a state senator in Texas that was talking about introducing legislation to require conviction before we could receive that forfeiture money,” Eavenson said.
I really, really wish this was a quote from History of the World, Part I. But no, it's one of Texas's finest arguing FUCK CONVICTIONS. We need money, even if you're not guilty. If you get it, spend it, then the accused gets acquitted, do you pay it back?
“Can you believe that?” Drumpf interjected.

“And I told him that the cartel would build a monument to him in Mexico if he could get that legislation passed,” the Texas sheriff continued.

“Who is the state senator? Do you want to give his name? We’ll destroy his career,” Drumpf replied, presumably suggesting that the lawmaker would suffer for holding a position contrary to the president’s.
Spoken like L. Ron Hubbard himself.
Is this what politics has become?
After the Politico article ran, Leach posted on Facebook: "Hey! I oppose civil asset forfeiture too. Why don't you come after me you fascist, loofa-faced s***-gibbon!!"
The lawmaker wasn't finished.

A little later, Leach took to Twitter, Trump's preferred platform, saying: "Hey @realDonaldTrump I oppose civil asset forfeiture too! Why don't you try to destroy my career you fascist, loofa-faced, s***-gibbon!"

Still later, Leach wrote on Facebook: "S***-Gibbon" goes viral! Maybe someday it will be written on my tombstone....or his."

Dipshit Drumpf claims via tweet...
In addition to winning the Electoral College in a landslide, I won the popular vote if you deduct the millions of people who voted illegally
Actual proof of these millions of electoral votes? About the same proof he didn't fuck over Drumpf University students: zero.

To be fair, this was going to happen to whichever candidate won. They both had massive unlikable numbers.

I think this is also why Trump keeps picking fights with the press. He still has about 15-20 points on them. Smart on his part. Stupid on their part, because they keep giving him his foil. If they could just report the news without lighting themselves on fire every day, he'd probably be done inside of a year. They can't help themselves, it seems.

I like the brief surge of post-election optimism "Hey, maybe it wont be so bad," countered by the post-inauguration "Oh shit, he's going to do those things he said earlier"

Michael Flynn was one Trump pick where I was like "eh" - it wasn't a position that had to be confirmed, and it seemed like a guy who might actually know what he was doing.

Well as it turns out, nope. In any other election year, the soon-to-be National Security adviser cozying up to the Russians pre-election and then lying about it would be a barn burner.

e: also his son is like, Alex Jones v2.0, so he has that going against him in my book.

See, you say that, but the front page of this website seems to disagree.

(Is the exact, same scandal there? No, but plenty of others. And is cozying up to the Chinese better than the Russians, like the Clintons did?)

Ah, good old nostalgia, miss those days.

Meanwhile another Goldman Sachs banker got confirmed today to drain the credit regulations, I mean swamp.

Yeah, it'd normally be a barn burner for a Republican. Keep in mind that Ted Kennedy actually reached out to the Soviets for help to the Democrats in the '84 election. No one seems to want to recall that one. At least Flynn was part of the incoming administration that had already won the election at the time of the communication.

Cue the music.
National Security Adviser Michael Flynn has resigned, a Drumpf administration official confirmed Monday evening.

The resignation came amid a growing scandal over Flynn's contact with Russia's ambassador during the transition period, and his apparent obfuscations to Vice President Mike Pence about the calls.

I expect a lot of gnashing of teeth from the press as the Trump administration shuts them out for the next couple of weeks. Other than the usual Trump hate, not sure why this one was such a big story. Not that Flynn wasn't wrong, but this one was minor. I could only wish we jettisoned politicians every time they lied to the press or did something they weren't supposed to do. Washington would be the least populated city in the nation.

It may not throw our schedule off, but I suspect it's throwing off the day of a lot of folks in the white house. The Trump admin has a pretty substantial leak problem. There were 9 different sources on the Russia story. Also, either no one is talking to each other there, or there is no cohesive philosophy at play. In the course of about 4 hours it went from "full confidence of the President" to "The President is looking at this" to "Flynn has resigned."

NYT is reporting multiple government sources on the FBI investigation. I don't know the scope. but three members of Trump's senior adviser team had:
"repeated communication with Russian intelligence during the campaign."
https://mobile.nytimes.com/2017/02/14/u ... trump.html
The F.B.I. declined to comment. The White House also declined to comment Tuesday night, but earlier in the day, the press secretary, Sean Spicer, stood by Mr. Trump’s previous comments that nobody from his campaign had contact with Russian officials before the election.
