I've posted plenty about CAexit and how it's mostly day dreaming from outside CA. No more time spent on that.

But the drought! It's now essentially over in the northern half of the state and very much improved in the south. I'm as surprised as anyone. Last winter and this one have been epicly rainy. I'm sitting here at home because I don't want to ruin another pair of shoes on my commute, and my phone's flash flood warning won't stop going off. I think the Mojave is still a desert, but the statewide rainfall has been amazing.

If I had to buy a house right now it'd be a stake on a farm in the Central Valley. The crop yields for the next few cycles are going to be epic.
"We always need to continue to be water use efficient but when every reservoir in the state is spilling water, when more water is going out to the ocean then we could be using in SoCal in a year, there's some problems there," said Brett Barbre of the Municipal Water District of Orange County.

I have a hard time taking you seriously when you do that. It reminds me too much of my nutjob right wing uncles who purposely misspelled Obama's name for the past 8 years.
In the past I've used Bubba, Dubyuh, Alien Queen, Clin-ton, and B. Rock ... but now you're calling me out for Drumpf?

Yeah, like when they show pictures of John Kerry not catching a football and it's somehow supposed to relate to his political acumen. Fucking please, that goes both ways all the time.

Dipshit Drumpf wants the pigs to be able to legally steal your things.
At a listening session with county sheriffs from around the country, Drumpf invited the sheriffs seated in the White House’s Roosevelt Room to make a statement while reporters were present. Rockwall County, Texas, Sheriff Harold Eavenson spoke up first to discuss asset forfeiture, a practice by which law enforcement can seize the cash and property of individuals suspected of committing a crime without a guilty verdict.
...
“On asset forfeiture, we’ve got a state senator in Texas that was talking about introducing legislation to require conviction before we could receive that forfeiture money,” Eavenson said.
I really, really wish this was a quote from History of the World, Part I. But no, it's one of Texas's finest arguing FUCK CONVICTIONS. We need money, even if you're not guilty. If you get it, spend it, then the accused gets acquitted, do you pay it back?
“Can you believe that?” Drumpf interjected.

“And I told him that the cartel would build a monument to him in Mexico if he could get that legislation passed,” the Texas sheriff continued.

“Who is the state senator? Do you want to give his name? We’ll destroy his career,” Drumpf replied, presumably suggesting that the lawmaker would suffer for holding a position contrary to the president’s.
Spoken like L. Ron Hubbard himself.

Who is Bubba and Alien Queen? I've never seen you reference those names, or noticed.

Clin-ton is a Simpsons line.

Dubyuh is standard, and I think if it was originally intended to be an insult, it lost that meaning.

B-Rock is more affectionate term than insult.

Drumpf just reminds me of my uncles. Perhaps it's your unwavering hatred for everything he does like they had/have for Obama?

Wow.
Alien Queen gotta be Hillary.

Bubba is Bill Clinton.
Bingo, twice.
Dubyuh is standard, and I think if it was originally intended to be an insult, it lost that meaning.
So, it's an insult because it sounds like a folksy way of saying the only part of his name that distinguishes him from the other dude with virtually the same name just last decade? Come on. Bubba has caveman/Deliverance connotations, but other than that is neutral. Alien Queen speaks for itself and is intended to be insulting. Drumpf is his family's actual goddamned ancestral name.
B-Rock is more affectionate term than insult.
It's affectionate because why? It sounds like an annoying wanna-be DJ on X who's playing a rave because he knows the dude that owns the warehouse. The insult and affection is in your mind, Tipper Gore.

They might still have those U.S. government contracts. I doubt we currently outsource any military R&D to other countries, but if CA became an independent nation I could imagine exactly that. At least until we went to war.

The drought would be the biggest problem. Currently CA gets a lot of water coming in from out of state. Those other states would much rather have that water themselves but currently can't. Upset the laws involved by CA splitting the union and I bet those rivers dry up overnight.

Last year this time 40% of the of the state was in the highest drought level possible. Now none of it is at that level.

It's been raining nonstop since this map got put out.

Now THAT would be an issue in the made up-secession we're going to have. We pay a lot to Wyoming an Nevada and other states so they can burn coal/build wind farms and send us the juice. I don't hear them complain a lot about that, I think it's a significant source of income for them.

Meanwhile we are shutting down Nuclear Power plants and hoping wind farms get built fast enough. Natural gas is pretty important, too. At least we aren't getting fucked by energy traders anymore.

I've never considered Dubyuh an insult. I knew it was mocking the way he talked, but I know more people say it that way now and mean no disrespect. Like I said, the day for that being an insult is long gone.

Bubba is a name. Any connotations you put upon it are your problem, not Bill's.
Alien Queen speaks for itself and is intended to be insulting.
This is actually the most offensive one. Who the fuck do you think you are insulting aliens?
Drumpf is his family's actual goddamned ancestral name.
I know, but I'll bet if we talked about Ali, you wouldn't call him Cassius Clay.
It's affectionate because why? It sounds like an annoying wanna-be DJ on X who's playing a rave because he knows the dude that owns the warehouse. The insult and affection is in your mind, Tipper Gore.
In this scenario, you're the Tipper Gore. I'll bet Obama has boys that called him B-Rock.
The drought would be the biggest problem.
Biggest immediate problem IF it were still ongoing.

I think the biggest problem California would face would be the immediate exodus of skilled workers/companies leaving for the states (something that's already been happening) and the immigration of progressives/illegals from all the other states. Do the people coming in represent a larger tax base or more mouths to feed from a dwindling tax base?

They'd build a wall to keep those people in, since their labor will be needed. There's historical precedent.

Let me know when Drumpf has a religious awakening. Let me know when Drumpf has the balls to go to jail to stand by his beliefs.

Bill rode that hillbilly gimmick all the way to victory. Twice. Are you hating on the image of proud, simple cavemen or backwoodsmen?

Your point? Are you suggesting I was on the Obama posse? Otherwise, it's a fairly easy nickname to come up with.

I'm sure the neighboring states would continue to sell you electricity. Not sure if the rates would remain the same.

Let me know when Drumpf has a religious awakening.
I would bet he's an atheist. Not sure what that has to do with anything though. People change their names without finding religion.
Let me know when Drumpf has the balls to go to jail to stand by his beliefs.
He's too rich to need to... But if you think this whole running for president thing didn't take balls, then you're delusional.
Bill rode that hillbilly gimmick all the way to victory. Twice.
So did Carter. Once. It's not derogatory though.

Is that picture a selfie?
Your point? Are you suggesting I was on the Obama posse? Otherwise, it's a fairly easy nickname to come up with.
My point was it's not derogatory. You even call it a nickname. Seriously though with your reading skills...

What you do with Drumpf is different.
