If Prescott can stretch the field enough to give Zeke running room, Dallas can still win. However, their defense still sucks.

Right now I lean Washington to win that division. Philly will suck and I don't trust Eli.

Dallas's season is riding heavily on two rookies leading their offense. That seems awfully shaky.

I see another 9-7 winner in the NFC East. Possibly 10-6/8-8 depend on how the intra-division stuff goes.

Photos of Kaepernick wearing socks in practice that appear to depict policemen as cartoon pigs came to light Thursday. According to multiple reports, the quarterback wore the socks during multiple offseason practices.

I'm not ok with either.

Fuck him. Dumb ass sat at a press conference wearing a Fidel Castro shirt and Malcolm X hat. He has absolutely no fucking idea what he's protesting against or for.

Spreading.
Safety Eric Reid knelt beside Kaepernick during the anthem in San Diego. In Oakland, meanwhile, Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane sat on the bench during the playing of the anthem, according to the Associated Press.

As expected...

For his entire career at Penn State all we've heard about, here in B10 country, is how awesome Hackenberg is and how he's a first rounder. We always laughed as the announcers praised him as he went 15 for 40 or got sacked 8 times in a game or whatever other disasters he was responsible for or dealt with. We also heard for all those years how his offensive line let him down and his receivers let him down and his coaches let him down, and blah, blah, blah. This kid was all hype. Even during his first, and best, year he didn't do shit.

A wasted pick.

Bradford to Vikings.

The worst part is that it's for a 1st and 4th rounder. Wow.

I was expecting something stupid like this. I wasn't expecting them to smear their assholes with Vaseline, throw them down on the negotiating table, and pick up a dude that makes Victor Cruz look like Lou Gehrig. Least I've seen Bradford make a pass or two. I was dreading a possible deal for Kaep. There are all kinds of other QBs to snake, though: Brian Hoyer, EJ Manuel, Colt McCoy, Mike Glennon. Shit, I'd take Ryan Mallet over Bradford. This isn't a franchise trade, this is a duct tape trade. Go for a duct tape replacement.

Kaep's #1. Well, his jersey.
As of Friday, Kaepernick’s jersey had risen to become the third most popular jersey in the 49ers’ online store. As of Saturday afternoon, however, it had risen further to become the top-selling jersey overall in the team shop, ahead of the likes of Jerry Rice, Joe Montana, NaVorro Bowman, and the customizable jerseys.
Bridgewater is hurt worse than your average ligament tear.

I'm not cruel enough to show an image of a knee with Teddy's sort of hurt, but here's an x-ray representative of it:

When Dak inevitably makes a rookie mistake and rushes out from behind his o-line, his back up will be...
The six-year veteran was acquired by the Broncos in the offseason after Peyton Manning retired and Brock Osweiler bolted to Houston in free agency. But the 29-year-old Sanchez couldn't beat out second-year pro Trevor Siemian, a seventh-round pick in 2015 from Northwestern.
Emphasis mine, and I can't get this out of my head whenever I see that name:

The Frisco-Kaep saga continues.
The letter concludes by saying officers may choose not to work 49ers games because of Kaepernick’s statements, adding that police officers “have the right to do their job in an environment free of unjustified and insulting attacks from employees of your organization.”
So freedom of speech only counts when it's something that doesn't piss off the cops. Got it. How hard is it to get some hats, shirts, etc. printed up with a giant douche with an afro wearing a 49ers jersey that says "BACKUP TO BLAINE GABBERT?"

Jerry Jones picks up the DGAF torch right where Al Davis dropped it.
The Cowboys apparently ran afoul of the rules on Saturday, announcing that quarterback Mark Sanchez had been signed before Sanchez technically could be. The move means that, beyond signing Sanchez prematurely, the Cowboys had reached a verbal agreement prematurely with Sanchez — and that the Cowboys necessarily had been talking to Sanchez prematurely.

Goff is starting ... the season out of uniform.
Teams almost never make three quarterbacks active due to special teams availability, which is the main reason why Goff is sitting.
...
"Jared's had a great camp, so has Sean. Case is clearly our starter. I think Week 1 just to settle things down and let Jared go through the experience it's probably going to be, like I mentioned last week, it's probably going to be three and inactive," Fisher said. "That's just how it goes. And then next week we'll flip them. I just want him to feel and sense and absorb the pressures of Week 1. He's going to be a great player. As we've said from Day One, we're not rushing him. We don't have to rush it. I'm really happy with where he is right now. It's unfair to compare him to anybody else. I know Philly has got their situation, it's a little different and trading Sam so Carson is going to start, but you know Jared is in a good place right now. He's done some really good things, so I'm really pleased with his progress."
That's one way to look at it. However, another way is this:

1) He's looked horrible during the few drives he's, uh ... led/been dragged on.

2) You sold a large stake in your future draft picks to get #1 and you picked Goff over Wentz, who is starting after you passed on him and Gimpy Bradford sulked away to a gullible Vikings team. Your offense was a sputtering mess last year whenever it took to the air. You can't tell me your offensive schemes are so complex that a rookie can't handle them when the other one's getting the go-ahead from a team with far more to lose than you. Can Goff remember ten basic plays? Boom. Puts him two or three notches above the rejects you've had since Marc Bulger. I'm betting his college playbook was deeper than the ones employed by your team, whose proper logo is a dumpster fire with curly horns.

3) You're playing San Francisco. They've got excessive amounts of locker room drama to distract them, Blaine Gabbert is their #1 QB, Torrey Smith is their #1 scoring threat, and Carlos Hyde sucks unless he's playing Minnesota. If the NFL has a scrub squad, this is it. This is exactly who I'd hope Gurley will run over for 2-3 TDs on and maybe, just maybe put a defensive score on top of that plus FGs. Then toss Goff in for the last 2-3 drives to see what's what. You sold your soul to get him, test him out in real fire.

Goff has not looked good yet. Considering his coach is Jeff Fisher, the odds are not in his favor.

Carlos Hyde is in a bad situation. He was fine with Harbaugh, but then he got bums for coaches and the worst QB situation in the league.
