McManus offers paid trip to Tucker. As a dude who's had Tucker on his fantasy team, I know there are more than a couple days he can't hit a 40-yard FG. Upping that by 50% or 100% makes it damn near impossible. It took years to inch the record length from 63 to 64.

RGIII is the starter in Cleveland.

Very interesting considering the rumors out of Cleveland is that he hasn't looked great. Doubly so when you consider that the Cowboys have been sniffing around McCown.

Wonder if he'll still be there by midseason.

This was given from day one, I don't find it that interesting or unusual.
This move has been more or less a given since Griffin signed with the Browns in March. He was Hue Jackson's handpicked reclamation project at a position where the Browns had need for a long-term starter.
I think Hue just doesn't want or need another QB competition, we've seen far too many of those and we all know how that has worked out. Give him the job and give him the reps, he needs it.
Jackson also is handling the position wisely. There is logic in deciding now, and even veteran backup Josh McCown admits it. Too often teams allows "quarterback competitions" to linger. Browns fans have seen it time and again.

The focus becomes more about how the quarterbacks play, what he says and how he acts. The most minute of acts are dissected. The "competition" becomes a burden, wearing out the team, coach and (most importantly) the players.

In this case, Jackson ended that nonsense early. He decided on his guy and gave him the chance.
Now, if he plays well or not, we'll see. But at least he was given every chance to succeed this year and has no excuses if he does fail.

Joey Bosa's mom wished they had pulled an Eli.

San Diego is a terribly run franchise, but I think Bosa will be a bust. I know he's a Buckeye, but his physical skills are hampered by his attitude which has been fed by years of people telling him he's awesome. On top of that, first year holdouts rarely become stars.
I don't find it that interesting or unusual.
I do because I think it's foreshadowing a trade with Dallas. It tells me they don't plan to win this year because McCown was their best option to do that. I think Cleveland is going to tank and cross their fingers that Phily does too. That'll put them in prime position next year with two top 5 picks.

I'm not really sure if they will trade Mccown. Right now, Cleveland has no need to trade him, he's a quality backup and the Browns have an overabundance of draft picks in the next two drafts. Cleveland is actually being smart and upping the price on old ass Mccown and if Dallas wants him they will have to overpay, if they are desperate enough Dallas will do it.

Dallas will be the team to decide if this trade happens, if they wanna give up the goods then so be it. Otherwise Cleveland has no use for another 5th or 6th round pick. They might as well keep him as a backup for the next two years and not have to play a rookie that isn't ready if RG3 fails or gets hurt, which is very likely.

McCown's only use is as insurance if RG3.2 fails. Those are 50/50 odds, though.

You made my point! It's very smart to trade McCown and get more draft picks. Even if they're low, they have more value than an old backup QB who will do what exactly? Win you another couple of games, but still have a losing season? How is that helping the team? Dumping him gives them a built in excuse when they're playing rookies and whatnot and losing. It won't look like they're tanking intentionally...

We need a catchy slogan for Cleveland losing to grab DeShaun Watson.

Cleveland isn't in the business of helping out the Cowboys. Fuck them, make them overpay otherwise just keep his ass. Like I said, Cleveland has too many draft picks right now. They drafted 14 players this year and have tons more in the next two drafts. As it sits now almost half of their 53 man roster this year will be either rookies or second year players, that is insanely young! What the hell do we need another 6th rounder for? to help the Cowboys?

They are going to lose games regardless, so why give up one of the solid veterans that you actually do have? Especially at QB! no team in the league is wanting their second string QB to be a 4th round rookie. Cleveland's biggest problem is changing the culture in the locker room. If you get rid of a QB just to lose you tell your locker room you want to lose and thus just continue the losing? Haven't the Browns done that enough? We don't need draft picks, we need wins.. Even if it IS only 1 or 2 more wins, that goes much farther than another stupid draft pick.

And besides, if they do want to tank and go that rout, then Josh Mccown is probably the best way to go. He's 2-18 over his last 20 starts, probably the biggest losing QB in the game right now. So if you want to lose, then who better to play than good old Josh? LOL!

I think the change needs to come from up top in the front office and execs. Haslam's an idiot.

Shocking.

Edit: I'm sure would have said the same during Vikings game, but they don't get aired.

I hope he got laid and it was amazing.

Carlos Hyde predicts his own failure.
"I'm approaching this year as a make or break year," Hyde said Wednesday. "I'm going to make it or it ain't going to work. I'm really trying to focus in on this year. To me, this is a huge year."
Miami's new, even lower scoring offensive scheme.

Geno and the punch a year later.

Chargers down a WR.

Tony Brown makes life interesting.
According to Adamski, the field judge on the scene said Brown's behavior was egregious enough to warrant an ejection in a regular-season game. The officiating team will report Brown's actions to the league office.
