At some point we, as a country, lost sight of the fact that some people aren't fit to perform some jobs.
And, even male Marines don't do "pull ups" as most people know them, for the PFT. The "kip" method is allowed, and you jerk your entire body to get your chin over the bar. I have no idea why women aren't doing that. Maybe they're just stupid.
