Our first mass group outting.
1. One way to line up for warp ahead of time is to actually tell it to warp you there. You will auto turn towards it. Then hit 'stop ship' to abort the warp. Double click toward target if you need a bit of adjustment.
2. Even though someone is right behind you at a gate, a bad guy can still jump through at the right exact moment and kill the straggler before you have a chance to get back to the gate to help him. I even saw the bad guy on the screen JUST as I was jumping.
3. We need to double up tasks better. We lost ONE guy, and that kept us from scoring any PVP kills for the rest of the night. We had a bunch of jammers, but only one webber/scrambler.
4. Wondering if it would be better to specialize the jamming. But then that means we could lose a jammer and lose that type of jamming. But, I'm probably going to pick up a shield booster which takes my jammers down to two, lowering my chances of jamming.
5. People need to make sure they are paying attention. Too many times most people would jump, and one wouldn't. Or one would warp before everyone else. Not because they left auotpilot on, but because they didn't catch the hold/go order.
6. When jumping from system to system, don't forget you can pick the jump gates just like you do the asteroid belts. Right click and pick them in the menu.
7. We should do more gang warping, instead of 'hit your autopilot'. They can hit autopilot during the warp if need be. That way we are more likely to arrive together. If Troy is always the tank/scouter, then maybe he shouldn't be the gang leader as well, so the leader can gang warp to Troy.
8. Perhaps after voice orders are given, those with free hands (warping, etc) can type in the important ones incase someone didn't hear it.
9. Might need to prefix transmissions with the name of the person saying it. Refering to when TG was getting attacked and we were playing 20 questions trying to figure out who was being attacked and where they were. We didn't know who to warp to. I know at my end, pretty much everyone sounds alike.
10. When you loot, loot the can clean, or shoot it so someone else doesn't drive over and check the same one. Shoot any junk you jetison too for the same reason. We left alot of belts with alot of cans. Wondered how many were skipped because people thought others were looting.
11. Standardize travel commands. Rather than, "Turn autopilot on but turn it off before you jump." or "Jump, but then turn autopilot off." Say things like "Aproach 'gatename'" and "Jump 'gatename' and hold".
12. When setting destinations, cut it from the map and past into chat. Too many 'O'/Zero 'S'/5 mixups. That is, once the exact name is for sure deciphered.

I noticed that when we gang warp, we do it in formation. There's probably ways to use that to tactical advantage, like maybe have your tankers fly towards the target just long enough to get out in front (and your candyass support ships fly away just enough to get in back) before the gang warp.
Or if you needed to you could also use it to sort of "push" teammates into insta-jump position on a stargate, by moving 100k away from them in the direction away from the stargate, then autopiloting for a 100k jump to it. You should hit 100k and they should land right on top of it, if it works like it seems to. If we end up trapped as a group that may be one way to escape (except the leader).

It's the vid card & RAM killing my system response time, obviously. When I can get the fucking contract work done for the biz school up at the U, they can pay me & I can take care of things. Aside from that, taxes are coming up, there's loan interest payments, & I've had to cut some hours from my normal work schedule.
