So I'm not entirely sure what happened, but Geoff Tate is out of the band. I have a vague recollection of him taking the rest of the band to court for the name.... I guess Tate lost because the new Queensrÿche album, Condition Hüman, is the old band with a new singer. A sound-alike... he sounds like Rage For Order Tate.
Their last few albums lost the bleeding edge they had when they made Empire and Promised Land... on the albums after you'd have maybe a rocker or two, if you were lucky, and the rest was meh.
Goddam, this sounds like old school Queensrÿche. It's hard, it's raw, it's the old band, and I guess Tate was the one shitting them up.
