I'm in, I love A&A. I hope they include a modern day physics and equipment version. I played a modified A&A with things like stealths to develop once. I loved it.GORDON wrote:http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=18859
You know I'll be getting it. A&A was the best board game EVAR!!
Now if they could only convert Fortress America...

I know that; I wasn't born yesterday. But I read the article, and saw this line:mbilderback wrote:Historically, Axis and Allies is a turn based strategy akin to Risk and the like, just more complicated.
"With each battle fought in real-time..."
Also, if you click on the "related articles" link, you can see some screen shots which look like every other RTS ever made, and some bullet points such as "Command land, sea and air units in real-time."
You still think it's turn-based?

If not, then the developers should be banned, then shot.thibodeaux wrote:mbilderback wrote:Historically, Axis and Allies is a turn based strategy akin to Risk and the like, just more complicated.

It's namely a hybrid in that case, but in the end, you're unfocusing the game. The idea of Axis and Allies was to be a thinking game, where time, thought, and strategy won out, not the snap actions of a twitchy gamer.TheCatt wrote:But if each battle is fought in RT, but the game turns are RT, is it really an RTS?
