7 players, including 3 defensive starters and the fourth starts depending on the coverage package. The other 3 players would all be rookies.

All that for 1 completely unproven guy who doesn't fit their system and they take the unproven guy.

Wow.

Mariotta HAS to be the next great QB or the GM will lose his job over this rejection.

And what happens if he is, yet he leaves for Philly after his rookie contract?

If I'm a Titan fan, I'm livid.

Back to the draft, Carolina missed Devin Smith by 5 or so picks and got Funchess instead... Sorry Troy.

I'm trying to think of the last rookie QB that did well without anyone to throw to, run the ball, pass protect, play defense, or even punt respectably.

Bummer. I didn't know much about Funchess, but seems to compliment the way Cam throws. When he misses he missed up, that's why KB got that 1k season even when occasionally fucking up. Could be great next to each other.

Finally got OT help this morning, some RT from Okahoma. Also, WHY DO WE KEEP DRAFTING SO MANY LINEBACKERS

e: A RB from Alabama

He dropped a LOT of balls thrown his way. Up here we heard all season how he was an NFL talent, but he never seemed to do anything special.

In the 6th round, Evan Spence is a steal. Solid possession receiver.

Would the real shady please stfu?
You see how fast he got rid of all the good players. Especially all the good black players. He got rid of them the fastest. That's the truth. There's a reason. ... It's hard to explain with him. But there's a reason he got rid of all the black players -- the good ones -- like that.

Someone needs to explain to shady that:
1. The race card has been played so often that nobody gives a fuck anymore.
2. His bitterness over being dumped is apparent to everyone. He sounds like a 15 year old girl who got dumped before homecoming.

PATRIOTS CHEATED
The New England Patriots likely deflated footballs in January’s AFC Championship Game to gain a competitive edge, an independent investigator found.

A report by lawyer Ted Wells said that Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was “at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities” of two Patriots employees who were deflating footballs. The Patriots won the game over the Indianapolis Colts and went on to win Super Bowl XLIX.

A smaller football can be an advantage for a quarterback who likes a firmer grip or who has smaller hands. The report cited numerous text messages between locker-room attendant Jim McNally and equipment assistant John Jastemski, who discuss the intentional deflation of footballs and Brady’s requests to change the amount of air in game balls.

The report absolved Patriots coach Bill Belichick and Patriots ownership. Brady, who wasn’t immediately available for comment, has denied deflating the footballs.

The NFL is expected to hand down punishments in the coming weeks. It is unclear how serious the league finds the alleged infractions.

Brady should be banned from football.

So should Bill. There's no fucking way he didn't know. The trophy, championship, and everything along with it should be retroactively forfeited to Seattle. I'd further penalize them cash and draft picks. This is un-fucking-acceptable. Where's the commish to come down on this as hard as he did when teams were "leaking" free agent contracts details.

I can buy that Bill didn't know. And there's no hard evidence to point to him.

But Brady should be banned, at least 1 year.

Kraft responds.
What is not highlighted in the text of the report is that three of the Colts' four footballs measured by at least one official were under the required psi level. As far as we are aware, there is no comparable data available from any other game because, in the history of the NFL, psi levels of footballs have never been measured at halftime, in any climate. If they had been, based on what we now know, it is safe to assume that every cold-weather game was played with under inflated footballs. As compelling a case as the Wells Report may try to make, I am going to rely on the factual evidence of numerous scientists and engineers rather than inferences from circumstantial evidence.

WOW. As for the numerous scientists and engineers he's relying on, I hope he's got a lot, because the dudes that did the report sure as shit do:

As noted above, Paul, Weiss retained Exponent to assist with our investigation. Exponent is one of the leading scientific and engineering consulting firms in the country. It has approximately 900 scientists, physicians, engineers, and regulatory consultants on staff in twenty offices throughout the United States as well as five offices overseas.
... Dr. Caligiuri
has a background in both materials science and mechanical engineering.

Thinking he can calculate pressure just fine.

Looks like Brady, Sr. is kind of a dick, too.
The reality is if you can't prove he did it, then he's innocent, and lay off him.

I can't prove Ted Kennedy made a conscious decision to swim away and leave a woman to die. I got all kinds of arrows pointing in that direction, though.

Hey, hey. Tweets between two equipment monkeys:
McNally: Tom sucks … im going make that next ball a [expletive] balloon

Jastremski: Talked to him last night. He actually brought you up and said you must have a lot of stress trying to get them done …

Jastremski: I told him it was. He was right though…

Jastremski: I checked some of the balls this morn… The refs [expletive] us…a few of then were at almost 16

Jastremski: They didnt recheck then after they put air in them

McNally: [Expletive] tom … 16 is nothing…wait till next sunday

Jastremski: Omg! Spaz

McNally: You working

Jastremski: Yup

McNally: Nice dude….jimmy needs some kicks….lets make a deal…..come on help the deflator

McNally: Chill buddy im just [expletive] with you ….im not going to espn……..yet

Jimmy's fucked.
