Been doing the Halcyona war regular for about a week and a half now. Got my level 5 necklace the other day. Got the tokens to try for level 6 today, it dropped back down to 4. I thought that once you got an upgrade, it would stick. Didn't know it could go backwards.

Awesome.

So you get 5 days of patron? So I got compensated for something I paid for, but did not get. You got it and didn't even pay for it? Bastards.

I don't know, I didn't understand anything in the list, I just got the email and redeemed it like they said.

If it makes you feel better, Cake, I deleted the email and didn't redeem anything.

Reds are starting to wake up. MASSIVE battle in Halcyona. We did out number them, so we did end up winning. But it was a solid fight. When I got there, green had just been decimated because they didn't expect the resistance. Green didn't go in as a group. Both sides pushed and we got stuck in the middle. People dropping on both sides. Green got pushed back to our base, but not for long. The green rallied up there and made a solid push back. Pushed all the way to their base. We were pulling the guards out while the reds were trying to push us away from their base. They had siege cannons in their bases lobbing rounds out at us. Then the golem got agro'ed and he came out. THAT was a mess. Siege cannons doing massive AOE damage and this guy doing massive AOE damage. But he kited forever. VERY far away from their base. We were able to fight him outside the cannon range. But the reds came out of their base. They were finishing off a ton of low health greens. But a few greens tanked the golem while the rest of us fought off the reds. Once they were pushed away, we focused the golem again. Once the golem was down, we were able to take their base pretty quickly. I think at that point, the reds gave up as there was no resistance while we took out the base gem thing. Took about 20 minutes to fight the battle. Got a handful of kills and honor points in the process.

Reds are showing up on the seas and at Freedlich more as well. They really seem to be waking up over there.

Pro Tip: Make two of those necklaces. One to wear and one to level up.

That fight sounds fun.

The shame of it is that the war in Halcyona happens once every 6-7 hours and is completely random on whether or not you'll get a good turnout.

That story is the first time I've heard of it even being competitive.

East is getting organized and active. They won the Halcyona war I was in earlier. Out played us. Well, I take that back. They didn't win, but they didn't let us win either. They let us take the base and the artifact. But as soon as it died, they swarmed the base. Kicked us out. The people that got the tokens left, leaving the rest out numbered and with no chance of getting into the base.

The west is starting to suck again. Blank didn't win those wars for the west. The east stopped participating. Now that they want to again, they are owning the west.

They are also dominating Hasla. Making it VERY hard to farm. They aren't farming. They just zerg the area, clear it and leave for a little bit so they can do it again.

I have a theory about the East being active again.

Once that disaster recently took place with the servers all of them were in High status, which I think was inflated bullshit. Lucius was in Queue status briefly and told me I had over an hour wait as the third person in line and was in within 20 seconds...

Anyway, I noticed they were in High status even into this week and that has been slowly tapering off. As of this morning when I logged on, things seemed to be back to normal and all servers are back to Up status. First time since the crash.

I'm curious if the 5 days of Patron status that Trion gave away brought some folks back to the game briefly, particularly people not aware of the new status quo. Thus, they went to Halcyona where they were dominating when they played.

The reason for the high que status is because Trion lowered the maximum server size for stability. Not because more people were playing but because the ceiling got lowered.

A sign that server populations are dwindling.

And they're already back into Up status instead of High? Wow.

BTW, just now finished the war in Halcyona and I never saw a red. I was with the main group the whole time. The commander did report once "so much reds" and then later "reds here", but I never saw one, never saw anyone fighting one, etc.

Serious questions:
1. Why PvP mode? Why is there a toggle for that? I PvP a lot in game yet I've never had it turned on. What happens if I do turn it on?
2. What is leech mode?

PvP mode is so you can attack greens. If you don't turn it on, you can't attack them. It's kind of a safety feature to avoid friendly fire. If you have PvP mode on (bloodlust mode) and drop a meteor in the middle of a green vs red fight, you will hurt the greens as well as reds. Turn is off and you only hurt the reds. You turn it on when you want to actively pirate your own faction.

Leech mode occurs after you die. It lowers the amount of honor you can gain/lose in combat. I don't know the specifics though.

Another Halcyona war, another complete no show by the reds.

In related news, gold spammers' price on 100gp is down to $1.50 from $4 a month ago.

Did one at 3am last night and it was clear of reds as well. They still zerg Hasla pretty well though. However, I was still able to get T2 honor sword and bow. After comparing the stats, is it worth it to go to T3? I only see like a 5 point damage difference. Unless you get a really good tempering bonus. I got a pretty low one (144 of a possible 155) and I'm only 3 points behind the base T3, I think. Bow stats, that is. But, at least they glow now!

Also, I broke 2k in gold this morning.

This is the Thunderstruck song I always wanted to play when I finally got a TS tree, well it never happened.

You kind of had to plant trees to get them! The 3 you would plant every once in a while ain't gonna cut it! I also knew with me and Leisher giving you logs, your incentive to plant your own was dwindling!

Yeah, I never really planted that many. I'm all about them hogs and turkeys.
is it worth it to go to T3?

Only the T3 Hasla gear can be regraded, so that's the reason you go for T3. But you might as well just put your balls in a vice and smash em, cause that will be less painful than regrading.

By the way, the gold price drop was met with much fanfare by folks on Blank's behalf. :D

Cinderstone went peace during my lunchtime too so I grabbed 12 trade packs for later.

I went to that beach to look for you Cake. Saw that you and Jem were on, but you weren't there or in Halcyona for the war. Figured you were macroing.

Stranger, do you still farm? It might have been a graphical glitch, but there's nothing around your house anymore. (No animals.)

No I haven't been for about a week now. I got on to pay my taxes a day ago, but nothing much more than that.
