I have decided Flash makes more sense. Here's why:

Let's say Ghost, over its duration, allows you to move 10 more feet in 5 seconds (obviously just throwing these numbers out there.... hard to judge actual distance in-game). Or, it lets you move 4 extra inches on the screen that you would have otherwise. Over 5 seconds.

Flash... lets you move 4 extra inches instantly, and can hop walls.

I don't think I have ever watched a pro video when they used Ghost.

I don't think any of us should be Ghosting any more. I am already on Flash and getting used to it and pulled a good move last night when i got behind their turret in their base, had them closing on me, and Flashed over the wall to safety.

Also, my name is Gordon and FLASH GORDON just makes sense.

I approve this message.

I think Flash is the single most selected summoner spell. I avoided it for a long time, but select it almost every game now.

I tried Flash back in the day and could never get used to it. For some reason, I'll have a longer learning curve.

I prefer ghost, but then I usually play champs and builds that have a fair amount of extra speed already, so it makes more sense. I tend to be able to run away without it, and use it instead when chasing people down.

But Flash still works when chasing people down, except faster.

There were a few times tonight where ghost would have been better than flash. I flashed away from a faster opponent that ended up catching me anyway. Ghost would have carried me away for 10 seconds. I flashed, they flashed. Game over. I could have ghosted, they flash, I continue to run faster than them for 9 more seconds. Same in reverse where they used their flash to counter my flash where ghost could have caught up and continued being faster than them for another 4 seconds.

The ONLY advantage flash has over ghost is that you can flash over walls. When it comes to creating or closing distances, ghost is better.

I guess if someone were REALLY in love with Ghost, Flash/Ghost would be a good combo... but unless we get more stun champions on the team, we really need the Exhaust slowdowns.

Crowd Control (slows, stuns, flips.. pretty much anything like that). I should say that flash is better in slow situations where you can get out of it instantly. stuns... well, your fucked. nothing is getting you outta that.

True, but the other part is that skills that move me to the target (or otherwise jump me ahead) I tend to find myself moving where I shouldn't and getting ganked. If I flash after someone I'll probably find they had three friends waiting at was just outside the edge of my vision. With ghost I still have time to turn around and run away instead.

Flash is an instant all-in thing, with ghost you can make still make tactical decisions. I like to keep that option if I can.

My point is. . . stop saying Flash beats Ghost because flash closes/creates distance just as good as Ghost. It doesn't. Flash>Ghost can be debated based on going over walls and escaping CC. However, CC lasts at the most 7 seconds. Ghost lasts 10. Plus, you flash while CC'd, and you are still CC'd and the enemy walks up and still kills you.

There are many times where I have had ghost and wish I had flash. Same in reverse. I have to forget about closing/creating distance though. Flash is very limited in this aspect. Flash seems to be best at creating an escape opportunity.

Do pros use Ghost? Serious question. Maybe I just missed the vids where they do.
