April Fool's Day (1986)

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

April Fool's Day (1986)

Post by Leisher »

9 college students go to a friend's for a weekend getaway, but then someone starts killing them.

I thought I saw Buffy Summers in the trailer or I probably would have skipped it. It wasn't her, but there is a trashy little blonde who is fun to see.

I'll be honest, the movie is lame. It's straight out of the 80s. The acting, dialogue, wardrobe, and so on are so 80s. You'll probably be bored throughout.

But it ends decently. I could see someone getting pissed, but some of that would probably have to do with how the film was marketed?

It's a well made movie that is stuck in a limbo between genres.

Should you see it? Depends. Want to see a horror flick that does something different, and probably the first of its kind? Then yes. If you won't be able to get past the dated look and you're really just in it for the horror, then definitely not.
“Every record been destroyed or falsified, books rewritten, pictures repainted, statues, street building renamed, every date altered. The process is continuing day by day. History stops. Nothing exists except endless present in which the Party is right.”
