I'm pretty sure this is based on a Japanese anime, but this is live-action. I have zero familiarity with the source material.
A schoolboy who already has the power to see ghosts falls into the happenings and machinations of evil spirits vs. different evil spirits. I don't think the one group was supposed to be evil, but I sure as hell didn't see much of them being not evil. But he accidentally gets some of their powers and suddenly has this massive sword and.... you know that rest. A certain thing ensues.
The english dubs are fine, turn off the subtitles, if you can. I didn't try, and they usually didn't match word-for-word. But there were a few good quips. It was better than the russian "Guardians."
