A Rainy Day in New York

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

A Rainy Day in New York

Post by Leisher »

Woody Allen's latest film is shelved by Amazon and may never be shown anywhere.

No word on why, but here's speculation:
Amazon hasn't specified why they're shelving the film, but it reportedly contains scenes of a 44-year-old man (played by Jude Law) having sex with a 15-year-old girl (Elle Fanning).
How do the other actors involved feel about this:
Many of the actors in A Rainy Day in New York have already tried to distance themselves from Allen. Chalamet, Hall, and Griffin Newman all donated their salaries from the film to various charities, including Time's Up and RAINN, and expressed regret over working with him at all.
And the article ends with a great zinger:
And if you're so desperate to stream statutory rape, you could just re-watch Allen's movie about a 42-year-old man in a relationship with a 17-year-old girl, Manhattan.
No, but seriously, Hollywood has a real pedophilia problem.
“Every record been destroyed or falsified, books rewritten, pictures repainted, statues, street building renamed, every date altered. The process is continuing day by day. History stops. Nothing exists except endless present in which the Party is right.”
