Need a new series to watch with the kid.

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

We just finished Community.

Kind of blanking on stuff that I've watched before that he would also like.

Cowboy BeeBop?
One Punch Man?
Earth: Above and Beyond?
Big Mouth?
F is for Family?
All the ST series?

Have you hit all the good movies?

Good choices.

We're going with Parks and Rec.

Just started season 3 of Parks and Rec.

I warned him that the funniest scene (that I remember) of the entire series was coming up.

We had to pause it because we were both laughing so hard when Rob Lowe looked into the mirror....

Yeah my kids were Office fans for about a year and now they're P&R fans.

Wife is trying to get them to watch Friends. The boy wants to watch Seinfeld.

The finale of Parks and Recreation was pretty solid. Just finished Seasons 6 + 7 which I had apparently given up on earlier in life.

We're in S4.

It's been long enough sincei I watched it all that it's 90% new again.

Yeah, I quit somewhere in season 5... and it was weird, because I had clearly seen some of the episodes before, but recall was maybe 50%

Just found out my wife hasn't watched the Karate Kid (!!!) She was too young when it came out, apparently.

Cobra Kai probably too mature for my kids?

I would let my kid watch it.

A lot of bad reviews are going to automatically come from SJWs. It is very anti-pussy.

Though, I wonder if some of the deeper themes will go over a kid's head. There's a lot going on, here.

Common Sense media tends to have more pearl-clutching than SJWs. Someone thought the Karate Kid was inappropriate because of the kid smoking pot. Someone else couldn't believe it had so many curse words! Then someone else said it was fine for their 7 year old... so...

Ah.

I was thinking while watching kids get taught about how violence solves problems, and then actually showing the kids being rewarded for that philosophy, that a lot of people are going to have a problem with this.

Maybe not enough people watched it to hit that critical mass.

TRUTH. The anti-bullying crowd are not going to be fans.

As for content for kids...Yeah, there's cursing and a lot of heavy adult themes that kids are incapable of getting because they have zero life experience. However, aside from the porn being watched, which I don't even remember and I watched the show this weekend, I could see this show being aired unedited on most cable channels.

But on the other hand, it was very anti-bully. It's crazy.

We finished Parks and Rec, finally! We had to pause for 5 weeks in season 5 when he was in GA.

I'd forgotten how positive this show was... Amy Pohler truly wanted happy endings for all the characters.

Also funny how Andy Dwyer's role got a bit bigger after Chris Pratt became Starlord. "You really lost 40 pounds just by stopping drinking beer?"

Next I think we'll catch up on Walking Dead... we're about 11 episodes behind.

Then maybe The Office? Not sure how well he'll be able to relate, having never worked in one. Not sure if it translates.
