As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Of the early readers, 2 liked it, 1 told me she stopped reading because she was uncomfortable, and 2 aren't answering messages.

Those were all women. They were all told beforehand what the story was about.

I've got 4 dudes who are going to be reading it within the next week, and they've all been warned and told me don't sweat it. Looking forward to seeing how this shakes out.

My twisted ass was thinking about the offended people and how funny it would be if Gordon did an audio book version where it sounds like he's masturbating. :D

Let's see how they respond to that!

I must admit the pen name you finally landed on makes me uncomfortable.

Gave the first two chapters of book 2 a good edit, today. Hoping to have it available before the end of the year.

I have been telling peeps for about a year that people need to power through book 1, the dark stuff, to get to the good stuff in book 2 and 3. Having just read chapter 1, I stand by that. Sooooo good. Maybe I'll still have some friends to read book 2!

A few times now I've watched the "pages read" start to move... and that reader gets to approx page 120... and stops. That's about where the evil shit starts happening.

I honestly can't wait to read it. I hope the person sitting next to me on the plane doesn't freak out when I get to page 120 and take my pants off.

I really do appreciate you guys going into it with that attitude. I'm pretty much in "fuck 'um" mode for the haters, but I can still daydream a scenario in which someone calls CPS on me.

That being said, I've been trying to get through S2 of Big Mouth, on 'flix, and I just can't. I've been wallowing in fictional adolescent child abuse so much for the last month, I now seem to have an aversion to even cartoon depictions of teen sexuality. I literally had to turn off episode 2 in the middle of the naked spa dance number.

holy shit, maybe that's why some people need to stop reading.

My conscience is clear. I added a trigger warning to the amazon summary, and in the first 2 pages of the book, itself. Peeps know what it's about.

I probably shouldn't have googled that just now.

It suddenly occurred to me that half my villains are law enforcement.

No offense. One of the protagonists is, too.

Book 3, law enforcement peeps are huge heroes, in a big, triumphant way.

I thought you couldn't track by reader? Are you assuming 1 reader at a time or such?

Yes, assuming that.

I didn't market it, so there's very little activity.

Can I just say it's "Foreword" not "Forward"? Also, in your case, it should be Preface, not Foreword. So, change it to Preface. Prefaces are written by the author, Forewords are written by not the author (typically)

Also, it was corrected right after you bought it.

Editing sucks, and I'll read over a mistake 10 times and not see it until the 11th.

But I learned that after I had it uploaded, and I got away from my desk, and sat on my couch, I was seeing TONS of mistakes, and betters ways to word things. So I spent 3 days on my couch, reading it on the phone, and I made 3 pages of notes. Then I corrected, and uploaded. I made so many changes that Kindle considered them not corrections, but a new edition, and corrections would not be carried down to peeps who already bought it... like, all 7 of you.

So y'all have an ultra-rare digital copy. Congrats.
