Book - "Saved - Book 1 of The Circle Trilogy" - by me

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

I just hope I get some 5-star reviews soon, though, to pressure the randos to do the same.

Yes.

This is sort of why I didn't try super-hard to find an actual publisher. Then you only get 10-20%... you pay for their marketing. I get that. But I wanted to start slow. This book scares me... it's fucked up, IMO.... I need to get the sequels out, for the payoff. SO I sent out about 10 query letters, accepted some feedback, and decided to do what I did.

When it gets huge, the publishers can come to me.

Why would they do that? Did they sell you a porcelain fountain that broke?

Usually references sound vaguely familiar... that one doesn't.

250 more pages read last night, and 100 after midnight. It hooks you!

For the record, I'm aware that KDP can drop the book at any time, as soon as the first person tells them that the story is inappropriate because it contains the sexual assault of minors. KDP wont read it to determine the context for themselves, they don't care. SOme things you just arent allowed to write about. That was a big reason for the foreword that I included, hoping to head off those complaints.

SO, that's been a worry. I'll just deal with it as it comes.

Yeah, Netflix gives no shits. That porno I mentioned the other, it had a 15 year old girl character in an extended, graphic 3-way. Or maybe she was 16. Even so.

The recent news about the child trafficking in michigan is topical, since my story is about child sex trafficking. And I even said in the foreword, "Watch the news. This work of fiction isn't very far removed from reality."

'Love' on Netflix. Yep. She was either "almost" 16 or 17. I forget which.

Is this the one where the underaged girl masturbates to orgasm in front of her other underaged friend? I get both sides of that argument. On one hand they're kids and we don't need to see that. On the other hand, do we need to pretend teenagers don't masturbate? If masturbating was a paying job I would have been able to retire at 20.

Right? I mean, if you cut the movie of my life correctly, it's XXXXX... but you know, put some boobs + bush in a movie, and it's suddenly R. But go ahead and kill people in PG-13 movies.
