What Happened to Monday?

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

What Happened to Monday?

Yay Netflix!

In a world suffering from overpopulation the government(s?) use science to increase food production. Unfortunately, this creates a new problem as people start having multiples with every pregnancy. So the "one child act" is established by Glenn Close. Basically, you pick one kid and all the rest get introduced to cryogenics until a date in the future when the world can sustain them.

One grandfather (William Dafoe) watches his daughter die giving birth to seven daughters and he decides to raise them all. He names them by the days of the week and then creates a single persona, Sarah, for all of them to live when they get to go outside on their day of the week. That means dressing the same, looking the same, briefing each other about their day, etc.

Listen, there are plot holes GALORE here. However, I forgave them because the concept was so interesting.

The acting is good, props to Noomi Rapace who played all seven girls. The direction is solid and the pacing is spot on.

This is a Sci-Fi movie even your wife will enjoy because it's about having kids and females are all the leads.

See it, just turn off your brain and enjoy the ride...and then don't think about it afterwards.
