Netflix - F is for Family

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

Exclusive animated series.

Written by and starring Bill Burr.

I'm in.

Very enjoyable.

People who grew up in the 70s will probably appreciate it more as it has a lot of reminders from being a kid back then.

More based in reality than Simpsons or Family Guy or South Park. I also like how the episodes all lead into the next. There's a progression and one overall story line.

Too adult for the kiddies, but I could see wives enjoying it too.

This is an animated cartoon by Bill Burr that focuses on a typical middle class family in the early 70's, which means their lives are kinda shitty. It had its funny moments but I legitimately predicted that by the end the dad would sit in his car in the driveway and eat a bullet. I won't spoiler whether or not he does.

Worth watching. First time I ever saw cartoon balls swinging on a non-porn TV show, so Leisher will enjoy that.

I'll give it a look at some point.

I remember S1 as being dark. Wasn't in the mood to do S2.

S1 is definitely a slow start. It's mostly setting up characters, nostalgia, and explaining to millennials what the world was like then. S2 is much better. I've heard S3 is even better.

I don't remember anything "dark". I think the darkest thing I can think of is the elderly Jewish neighbor that the kids think has the number of people he killed tattooed on his arm... The show is more King of the Hill than Family Guy. Remember, this is FAR, FAR more in the realm of reality than other cartoon shows. No interdimensional cable here. This is more about a constant story being told.

Writing this, can't remember season 2 except enjoying it more than 1. I'm going to rewatch the series before jumping into 3.

That was the best part of ep 1. I felt weird laughing though

I had the same feelings through season 1, but stick with it if you're enjoying the nostalgia. The humor does pick up.
