Synopsis:
A version of how Sacco and Vanzetti ended up getting executed.
Review:
If you're into turn-of-the-century anarchist philosophy or railing against industrial magnates of the early 1900s set against the backdrop of a detective story, this is your flick. I am apparently in that group. The parallels drawn between then and the present "war on terror and everyone's privacy" are none too subtle.
Verdict:
This will only appeal to a select group of people because it takes a quite clear stance about who was and wasn't a dick. Even the "nice" protagonist cops aren't above beating suspects and threatening to kill them to get confessions.
