Game of Thrones - no spoiler thread - NO SPOILERS NO SPOILERS NO SPOILERS NO S

As long as we recognize Lucas is washed up and most TV sucks, we'll all get along fine.

I've remained mostly unspoiled. I like to wait until the entire season is over.

I am current. Only two eps left this season.

It goes by so quickly now.

"Battle of the Bastards" was this season's Emmy episode. I don't think I've seen cinematography like that before in a medieval war scene.

Too much shaky cam, but otherwise well done.

This is good and you should watch it.

Spoilery if you haven't seen the episode yet.

6 seasons later, the poison sea is being crossed. Hopefully they get up from the south faster than the white walkers are getting down from the north.

The chess board appears to be set. Interesting.

GoT has 13-15 episodes left.

I respect this decision. I remember that The Shield was only supposed to be 5 seasons, and the network pushed them for a 6th. It resulted in a good season, but it was worse than the rest because it wasn't part of the plan. Thus, the main story line wasn't covered as much and a few plot threads get left dangling.

Stick to your plan and then go develop something else. Isn't it a famous Hollywood saying to "leave while they want more" or something?

I expected more like 18 to 20, but if they can do it in less then so be it.

Still, after this is over I expect there will be more stories to be told in the forms of movies or spin-off series or what have you.

Been rewatching this with my kid. His first viewing, my second.

I'm glad I saw them as they aired and avoided most spoilers, but this show is a lot easier to watch all at once so there isn't a year between seasons. I never watched them more than once, so I'm picking up on little details better.

Finished season 7 tonight. Should I just stop now and save him from season 8?

Yes. Just make up a better ending.

S8 is like episodes 1 to 3, they don't exist

Let him see S8. It being a monumental disaster is a part of GoT's story.

Maybe he'll learn something too. Like don't half ass an ending.

In that S8 episode that was famously too dark, they lightened it up a lot on the HBO NOW streaming version. I warned my kid about what to expect, but then it was fine.

They removed the Starbucks cup, and also a line about how the Unsullied knew John Snow was guilty, which was an impossible plot hole.

Did they also make Han shoot first?
