Yes, I saw you posted it, but I was busy for a couple days and couldn't get in-game, and then I got to put it into effect. Was noice. For the first time last night I was running around with no one in my party dead, OLD, or with zero spell points because she was constantly healing everyone, nonstop.

Speaking of BT4, it is out today and reviews from every direction seem to be crazy positive.

It's interesting to look back on BT1 with 2018 eyes. The composition of my group never would have occurred to me back then. I honestly think all monk-magic is the way to go, but I wouldn't have picked the optimal path, just because I would have wanted variety. Who knows if I even knew to do the magic switching correctly. 10/11 year old me wasn't into optimization. I do remember making graph paper maps of everything, with a key for notation.

Am I the only one mapping on graph paper?

Yes. I will confess to using easy mode for maps.

Maybe I'll take a pic of my map, later. It's adorable.

Well, F me.

I went through the 3rd dungeon (tower), and teleported to the 4th, then walked out the gates to re-heal, etc... and now I cannot get back in? Have to do the 3rd all over again?

OK, it wasn't that bad to get back. Just felt like it cuz it was so hard to get there the first time.

I'm nervous about the Steam reviews. Backers are the ones giving it negative reviews. Apparently, if you played the originals, this game will land flat. If you didn't, you love it?

It has me concerned because I didn't love Wasteland 2. It was fine, but it clearly lacked a ton of polish. I'm slightly nervous inexile has discovered a new niche of getting funding for a beloved classic, doing just enough with it without really embracing the original, and then repeating the process.

Now I really don't believe that to be the case, but still...

I got tricked last night by the teleporter in the SE corner. Got moved and turned around and kept mapping, and suddenly things look familiar.

I'm usually right on top of mapping, never err. But at that particular time I kept getting hit by one random monster encounter after another every time I stopped to count my steps, and that kept screwing up my count, and I went through the teleporter about 3 times before I realized what was happening.

Never used Scry Sight.

Scry Sight gives you your N E coordinates, iirc. IT's how you validate your location after teleports, spinners, etc.

Maybe? Maybe not? I thought I was doing 6 + 5, but maybe I was only doing 5?

I just did 2 at once, figuring it would end the one and start the other. Nope. Kept both going.

1. How much do you have to tip a bartender to get good info?

2. I mapped the entire town, that isn't blocked off. Which should be my first dungeon/tower? Right now I'm hitting the one in the top left. Seems like it's more difficult than a "first dungeon" should be. If the initiative rolls wrong, I get taken out by a group of 6 wizards and 6 sorcerers before I even get a chance to do anything.

3. Should I have mapped every single house with a "reveal secrets" spell, on? Might I have missed a newbie dungeon, somewhere?
