And the unit I got is a bum unit that constantly freezes, and Nintendo wants 3 weeks to send a replacement. Fuckers.

Think the Wii U is the end of Nintendo in the home console market or do you think they'll try again? If they do, think they'll finally take off the kid gloves and make a system for everyone?

They are more likely to give up on consoles and go strictly mobile before they are likely to give up on family-oriented.

My Wii U made it through yesterday without freezing. I managed to play some Mario Kart 8. Nothing radical, just a fun continuation of the game. More courses, more shortcuts, more types of bikes/customizations you can do.

That being said, we own one, and I just hooked it up to our new TV yesterday, and the kids love it cuz they were too young for Wii games the first time around.
