As always, got this in a bundle.
Top down shooter that has you as a Max Payne knock off fighting against mutants, bugs, and zombies.
You have a handgun and find a shotgun, uzi, grenade launcher, rocket launcher, energy weapon, and a flame thrower. Each can be upgraded four times, although you can't do it in one run, so upgrade the best options. I'm not telling you what to do, but the handgun has unlimited ammo... You also find some armor and golden pieces for your handgun that you complete about halfway through the game. What that did to the gun, I didn't notice?
Most importantly, you also have flares. The monsters don't like light, so the flares are important in keeping the hordes at bay while you kill them.
The story is an attempt at being noir, ala Max Payne, and the character's name is even Max. However, the levels are varied as are the different monsters and activities you'll encounter.
It's worth it if you can ever grab it for a dollar or two.
