This game is GTA with hacking.
There's an overarching story line, and tons of side mission type things just like any open world GTA style game.
The hacking is, literally, just pressing Q when you see something you want to "hack". There is a more in depth mini-game for certain hacking, but it's just re-routing power, and is as easy as it sounds. There's a learning curve initially, but only because you need to wrap your brain around hacking things to get stuff done rather than just doing stuff.
The main story line missions are cool, and some of the side missions are lots of fun. Gang hideout missions are my favorite part of the game as you infiltrate hideouts. Go in silently because if you go guns blazing, shit gets tough, and cops are called. Lots of driving missions can be found as well.
There are also VR side missions. I've only done two and one sucked. The other was awesome though. You drive a giant spider tank, which would make Jon Peters hard as a rock (google it).
The absolutely coolest part of the game is the amount of information available, and how it's a commentary on today's world. As you run around, you see info on everyone you pass (if you have your data device on). You can hack them as you walk around and there are side missions where you can hack homes. Those are the best. The puzzle to hack the home might be lame, but the small looks inside people's lives is pretty awesome. Some are funny, some are genuinely sad, and everything in between.

It is a good time though, so I'd recommend playing the game versus just watching the video.
My biggest complaints all revolve around it being a console port. Console controls suck, and the biggest area where that shows up here is when you go for cover. Other than that, they did a good job with the controls. Also, there are no achievements, which isn't a deal killer, but it'd be nice. Part of the fun with this style of game is getting that elusive achievement.
If you like GTA style games, this is a good one. I'd recommend it at $10 or less. You're getting a metric fuckton of gaming if you're a completionist.
