Going to spend a few hours figuring out where the hell the party is today.

Maybe do a synopsis on each PC if I have some free time.

9 might work better for me too, but start at 8 and get to Stranger and I at 9.

It'll depend on if I can get to everything I need done today prior to 5 p.m.

I seem to recall defeating some dragon with non-lethal means, and ducking into an ice cavern. Or something.

8-9pm start time to COLLECT OUR PARTY BEFORE VENTURING FORTH.

I’ll have a summary of where we are before the game.

I am going to be so rusty today. But here goes the summary:

Five members of the party were transported to the mist shrouded valley of Barovia in our first few sessions. The sixth, Szoldar, was encountered along the road after the first few days.

The party has wandered through Barovia making tough decisions, killing some major foes: A night hag (and burning down the windmill), giant evil tree, owl bear, and countless other classic monsters along the way. They have been stricken with various ailements, curses, and found obstacles blocking each step.

All the while, Strahd, the vampire lord of the valley, has been hunting and toying with the party.

The PCs have gathered weapons, magic, and allies to slay the vampire and free themselves and the people of the valley from the prison they find themselves in.

The search has led them up into frigid mountains of Barovia, to a temple carved into the side of the icy peaks. Their guide, a grizzled elf sorcerer named Kasimir, claims that the temple holds powers and treasure that will enable them to defeat Strahd.

The icy wind whistles around them as they huddle against pillars and alcoves carved into the steep mountain. The party has opened the temple door, and has just started to carefully evaluate the large chamber beyond - dark and foreboding.

**
I think we'll have to go around and talk/remember about who each PC is, what items, diseases, interesting info, etc. I've been trying to cram! We'll take it slow.

The Temple is kind of an odd dungeon, or maybe it's just more traditional D&D? Very hostile by default (with forgetful Lich exception so far).

I guess it's an end-game giant evil temple in the mountains, so it is what it is.

I'll have a better feel for it by next session.

I say we knock the statue over. I think it's just some random trigger trap, whatever stands in front of it gets shot at.

We need to get inside.

That's reasonable. On the other hand there are tons of class abilities and items that deal with it.

I mean, it's fine. But I kinda think that when we uncover parts of the map, sometimes I want to look back at them while I think. Last night it was dark again unless you stood there.

But it's fine.

Yep. I think Troy needs to give us a little bit of leeway to roam around a room (when not in initiative order), but it should be stated that we cannot advance to a new room or he can punish us for trying to get info before we should.

When are we playing again?
