I just found out about this place today, looks like it could be a cool place. Thought I would share;

So my horse would tell me, "Demon coming down the street," so I'd know the situation outside. I would yell out to group in the church, we'll fight from in here with a good front-door choke point, and maybe we can kill Strahd real quick.

I kind of wish the paladin had ANY hit dice or spells left, instead of going at Strahd with only his magic sword and plucky spirit.

And 3 revenants and group of intrepid adventurers and some zombies.

I'm hoping the revenants are strong. That was a tough quest that we (or I guess Zelda) was able to pull off, so I would expect a good payoff. We never ID'ed the sword. I'm wondering if it's a strong one against Strahd. Are you supposed to point it at him and shoot him with a laser?

Wasn't this campaign supposed to take us to level 10 or something? Seems like it's ending early. ;-)

Lastly, lets talk about our REAL plan privately so our DM doesn't cheat. :-)

Also, the ONLY thing hit dice do is restore hitpoints during a short rest. They don't do anything in a fight. So you won't miss them.

This looks cool.

Hey Catt in the other COS game you read did the party burn down the mayor's house and kill most of the town guard?

Uh... I didn't actually read it, I just see the posts from time to time.

Remember that scene in "Mystery Men" when they accidentally electrocute the superhero to death, and the Shoveler says, "What do you mean 'we,' I was all the way over here?"

Me and Zelda and Zoltan weren't there yet when the others went Chaotic Evil. :-D

I have a feeling the Lord of Light may decide that his Paladin champion in this land doesn't deserve what his party got him in to, and may Hand of God him out of there. ;)

So...

Is the DM just trying to end the campaign, are we playing it all wrong, or is this all part of the story? Just curious.

Not especially(though I can see people dying next week), it's D&D and you can't play it wrong, and it's all very much right-out-of-the-book.

I just don't want you to hit a point of exhaustion running the campaign. I know we're having fun, but if you're not, that's a problem.

There was a theory being bounced around (by me :D ) that you were looking to finish the campaign because it's been going on long enough, you're busy, etc.

And I'd say, if we all die next session. . . we played wrong. :D

No game tomorrow. We are planning to get out of SF tomorrow and head inland asap, we have to get out of the smoke. It's getting worse somehow. The apocalypse sucks, y'all.
