That looks like dog shit compared to the ST game. Also, the guy's begging to be sued using ST font. I'm guessing his IP theft doesn't stop there.

Plus, the multi is available for people in the same room only.

There's another one out there called Spaceteam, but it's also shit. It's more joke than starship simulator.

I'm kind of surprised that you are not interested in something because something else has better graphics. Any video I see of people playing, they seem like they are having fun. Sure, it's geared towards LAN parties. But I'm betting a group of tech minded people could find a work around for it. I actually bought it to play with some other friends. Haven't had the chance to make it happen yet though. Just bought it last week. We played "Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes" instead at our last get together. Without VR even. And it was still fun.
