If you don't count the 18 hours the pork spent in the smoker.

I'm thinking Catt has started trying to fill the void of snark Malcolm used to fill.

Well, they are both wrong about cleaning the chicken.

I always rinse chickens/turkeys. I don't want poop on my food. If salmonella manages to survive the cooking process, then it's just a workout for my immune system.

Looks like seasoning in the oil would be like super concentrated seasoning.

Well, fondue seasons the oil/broth. I dunno, never tried it for frying.

I am completely torn on both of these issues.

What does science say about washing proteins? I will accept no other answer.

Also, what does science say about seasoning oil? I always season protein before the cooking process as I've always believed it was too late afterwards. However, I also know that certain infused cooking oils and whatnot exist, so maybe what she did can work? But is it as effective?

BTW, funniest comment in that thread showed the Racial Draft from the Chappelle Show and the black delegation was proposing a trade of Paula Patton for Paula Dean.

Fortunately there's this thing called "cleaning" that I do after I cook. With Clorox wipes, even.

I say WAY more "ewww" knowingly keeping shit on your food that you know goes in your mouth

Can you show me any links about raw proteins having shit on them?

Chickens are nasty creatures, I know first hand. A slaughterhouse is going to be one of the nastiest places on earth. And if you're going to claim they're clean, then there wouldn't be the "don't spread germs by cleaning" issue in the first place.

ok, so aerosolize and spread it around by rinsing instead of just cooking it like normal. That... makes... sense.
