Just probably not. They're all poor and are bringing their poor kids and we're lucky if they even stay to take care of their kids, themselves.

The "abortions are great for us because the economy" argument is undone by the open borders with the entire world sending us their poor people.

Sending us? Christ on a crutch? Really? Go ahead then. Build a wall and/or cut off immigration. Let's see how well that goes after the first few hundred thousand leak through.

President of Planned Parenthood said a woman voting for Ted Cruz is like a chicken voting for Col. Sanders. Considering PP's issues lately for selling parts in a bucket, perhaps not the best analogy.

They're not selling parts, they are... I forget... getting compensated for disposal, or something.

They're providing a service by connecting research groups in need of fetal tissue with women who want their aborted fetus to provide some modicum of good to humanity instead of being a complete loss. The charge offsets storage and delivery costs, and wouldn't be necessary if PP funding weren't constantly being scaled back and attacked by the radical right.

This isn't black market organs. The dollar cost of black market organs wouldn't be measured in two to three digits.

The key is selling in bulk. You don't sell a fetal liver, you sell 50 pounds at a time.

Study says:
The abortion rate has declined dramatically in recent decades, not only in the United States, but globally as well. But new research published in Lancet shows that this decline is probably not due to any changes in abortion law. Researchers looked at abortion trends between 1990 and 2014 and found that in countries where abortion is illegal or only legal to save the life of the mother, the annual abortion rate is roughly 37 per 1,000 women of reproductive age; in countries where abortion is legal in most cases, the annual rate is about 34 per 1,000 women of reproductive age. In other words, it doesn't seem likely that placing legal restrictions on abortion makes it less common.

What's more, researchers found that while the abortion rate is falling in most places, it's declining faster in some places than others. The annual abortion rate declined dramatically in the developed world during this time period, from about 46 to about 27 per 1,000 women of reproductive age; in the developing world, there was only a two point decline, from 39 to 37 per 1,000 reproductive-age women. Researchers believe this to be an indication that access to sexual and reproductive healthcare is a major factor in reducing the abortion rate.

In other words, banning abortion doesn't end it; providing birth control and other forms of reproductive healthcare do. Basically if you really want to end abortion, instead of trying to defund Planned Parenthood, people should be tripping over themselves to give the organization more money.
This means places like Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi are encouraging more baby murder by defunding PP.

Well no shit. Obviously the best way to reduce abortions is to reduce unwanted pregnancies. And that only happens because of access to birth control and the knowledge of how to use it properly.

But for the vast majority of those who are anti-abortion they don't care about stopping the abortions, they care about stopping sin. If there were no more abortions because we had universally wise and proper use of birth control they would not see that as an improvement because all the sin is still there.

Judge bitchslaps Ohio.
U.S. District Judge Michael Barrett granted a temporary order that blocks the state from diverting funding away from Planned Parenthood affiliates around Ohio.

This is why we need an article 5 convention. The Feds are now telling the residents of a state how their STATE funds must be spent. I'm afraid a Constitutional convention is our last chance before people pick up arms.

I'm not saying I don't disagree about the need for a federal reboot, but...
The state law targets the roughly $1.3 million in funding that Planned Parenthood gets through Ohio’s health department. That money, which is mostly federal...

I'm sure PP would be happy to go through the feds but Ohio would bitch about it.

Yeah, if Ohio wants to give back all that money and let the feds give it to PP directly I would think that should be fine.

If Ohio wants to take the fed dollars meant for PP that we all helped pay and use it for something else then I'd think that would be crap.

Then let the feds administer it. Why are they putting the administration of said money on the backs of the states if the states have no say in where it goes? It's horse shit.

Because that's how the federal government has worked for the past century. It is horseshit. But that doesn't mean Ohio should be able to take that money that has one purpose and use it for something else.

If they were trying to take a moral stance they wouldn't have tried to divert it to something else, they would have given it back.

Ah, the Thomas More Law Center, the legal world's answer to the John Birch Society. I believe they've also tried to link abortion to breast cancer. Apparently that didn't work so they're onto this now.
In the latest twist in the case, the Thomas More Society reports that the court records show Planned Parenthood attorney Josh Schaffer admitting under oath that the DA’s office shared documents and evidence with Planned Parenthood.
I'm sure as shit not taking their word for it without actual proof. When the part in bold gets changed to "the state of Texas," I'll give it credence.
