A boy asked his Bitcoin-investing dad for $10.00 worth of Bitcoin currency.

Dad: $9.67? What do you need $10.32 for?

I tried to do some p3 mining on AWS today, but it wouldn't let me launch CUDA 9 AMIs on p3 instances. Despite them being the "recommended" class of machines for the AMI.

Use the deep learning Ubuntu one.

Also let me know what your "profit" margin is...I've got survey credits just coming out my ears.

I tried that one, I think. "Deep Learning AMI with Source Code (CUDA 9, Ubuntu)"

Now, it WILL let me select p3, but will NOT let me select spot.

Fuckers.

Get the ami-id, then go create a spot request and paste that id into the box for the ami.

Don’t forget the ami id is region-specific. So if you go poking around the world for cheap spots you’ll need a different id

Yeah, did all that. The problem is they won't let me use p3 for spot instances. Are you able to?

Oh I see. Yeah not every instance type is available for spot.

Odd that the spot price doesn't go up. It's 30% of reserved.

For J. Robert Collins Jr., it’s all about family togetherness. Mr. Collins, who launched a fund to trade cryptocurrencies this year, gave 16 family members each half of one bitcoin for Christmas four years ago to educate them about the virtual currency. Fourteen have since lost their passkeys.

Most likely, but there are some ways to recover passkeys, basically brute force stuff.

Back in August, I owned 0.30 BTC. I've sold 0.29 of them since.

But, Bitcoin forked to Bitcoin + Bitcoin Cashback in August, so today 0.30 Bitcoin Cash showed up in my account. Bitcoin Cash is trading at $3.9k, so that was a nice surprise.
