Progressive site claims Europe will be 90% renewable energy in two decades.

Awesome, if true. However, Europe isn't one of the big polluters, so it doesn't mean much.

Reminder: China is still producing CFCs despite the worldwide ban. Again, why is the rest of the world not using Trump's tariff war with China to also lean on them about piracy, climate change, corporate espionage, and human rights violations?

90% of ocean pollution comes from 10 rivers outside North America.

But Kroger banned plastic bags so yay, we're helping.

I'm all for doing my part to help out, but I'm getting sick and tired of people pretending we're THE problem.

I'm also tired of the issue being politicized and used to attack anyone who might question what we're doing.

To save the planet we need a four day work week.

This will never happen, but it should and not just to save the planet.

Peeps have been touting that for at least 20 years. It makes sense in so many ways.

Just removing 20% of commuting traffic every week would be pretty big.

Not game-changing-big, but big.

Wouldn't it also be reasonable to assume it could decrease unemployment? Companies could still be 24/7/365 operations, but they'd probably need to hire a few folks to offset that additional day off.

Right now corporations are reading that thinking, "Then we can lower everyone under the 40 hour work week and pay nobody medical benefits! Brilliant!"

Seriously though, why not 4 10 hour days? I believe we posted a study on it at one point that proved it would increase productivity.

I assumed that meant 4 10s.

Nobody works.more than 20.in a week, anyway.

30 hours is the limit for benefits, iirc.

I've always felt this way. But there a surprising # of people I talk to who are CONVINCED they work 40 to 50 hours a week. Maybe I'm just super productive.

It's 30. One of the liberal workers unite type webazines is getting blasted today for looking to hire a part time editor for 29.5 hrs per week.

I have always said anyone who claims they are ALWAYS ridiculously busy and don't have a minute for something else is full of shit.

We have one person here who's notorious for claiming that. They're also notorious for standing around talking a lot.
TheCatt wrote: 30 hours is the limit for benefits, iirc.
So corporations will reduce people to 29 hours or less to offset their new employees who also work 29 hours or less.

Photo of sled dogs walking through water shows reality of Greenland's melting ice sheet

Actually shows the reality of Spring. This happens every year there.

Image posted in 2011 showing same phenomenon. Not sure when this one was taken, but saw one on Twitter earlier that was from the early to mid 80's. Over-hyped drama bullshit.

Which it isn't. It's been happening for at least 30 years.

Dramatic headlines with ad views, regardless of veracity, are more important than facts.
