The Senate Rules Committee voted unanimously Thursday in support of the proposal (SB 498), which would repeal a law enacted in 1868 that makes it a second-degree misdemeanor “for a man and woman, lewdly and lasciviously to associate and cohabit together, without being married to each other.”
Ah well, at least they haven't used it.
A House staff analysis noted that the law was used in 1979 by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation to suspend a company's liquor license after finding that six of the company's employees violated the statute.
Suck a dick, Florida.
