Read the article, and you'll see that the government has been silently moving the people named around and warning them long before these documents were released.
True, but in the case where they knew it was leaked but Wikileaks told them "we're not going to publish this" would they still have taken the steps to protect them? They certainly should. And maybe they would. I don't know. It'd be nice to think so, but I'm pretty jaded about how our government handles these things. Not because I think government officials are evil or there is some sort of conspiracy, but rather because many are lazy and others are more concerned about appearances than getting the job done right. Maybe I'm wrong about them, though.

"Right to sunbathe." They're claiming that's a thing. But the best line is the last one...
UK spends at least $ 5 million annually on surveillance of Assange.

I'm sure those two being holed up has nothing to do with their fear of insanely overzealous US prosecution after they made public the illegal shit everyone assumed was already being done. Secondly, this is interesting. The only thing these two have to cash in are info and integrity. I'd think they have enough of the former to put off selling out on the latter, otherwise they're inviting a siege they can't win.

As one of the individuals who arguably had the biggest impact on destabilizing the US elections, however, its hard to imagine a more fitting punishment for Assange sending him to the same country he helped to ruin.

Well, they haven't released her yet. I can totally understand him wanting to wait until she is free before turning himself in, because if they decide not to let her go what card does he have left to play if he's already turned himself in?
If he doesn't go in once she is released, though, then lame indeed.

I'm certain she's spent countless hours investigating the case.
