Serious question: Bad food is killing us far more than tobacco, guns, etc., so why are those things illegal, hot button issues, restricted, and so on, but bad foods aren't?

I find this stat highly suspect. Yeah... I mean, the numbers are going to be grey, sure, I'll grant that.
But most people definitely eat shitty food most of the time, and it seems reasonable that it's causing disease, shorter life expectancy, etc than a better diet would.

And I wouldn't deny that. I just think they're skewing numbers to make it a story. I'd like to compare the numbers (real numbers) of people dying from a bad diet to the numbers of people that were dying from starvation 30 years ago.TheCatt wrote:Yeah... If we cure everything and people all die from natural causes at the age of 102 except for lightning strikes, they'll be writing an article to scare the shit out of people that 100% of deaths outside of natural causes was being caused by lightning.
