Here's the science and what the guy is actually saying:

I heard Yanny, but I have really good hearing despite my advanced age.

I heard Laurel. My 7yo also heard Laurel. My 11yo heard "Yah eee" not knowing what word to hear.

We had some friends over. My wife heard Laurel, friend #1 heard Laurel, friend #2 heard Yanny.

You're "really good hearing" heard the wrong word.

First of all, your* :D (That's for Thib.)

Secondly, you didn't watch the scientific explanation did you? People with more range of hearing were far more likely to hear Yanny, while those with reduced hearing, like the elderly, so...you...were more likely to hear Laurel.

That video is hilarious Gordo.

No, they said little girls were more likely to hear it, and eunuchs.

Weird. That little speaker symbol next to the word is the original sound.

That one sounds like Laurel.

The questionable ones sound like Yanny.

I tried and I can't make myself hear it by repeating "Laurel" to myself before I hear it. Funky.

I found that reading made it sound like that at first. But then, if I think of word A while reading word B, I hear word A.
