Apparently, it was... god forbid, an actual mistake, where the barista misheard him.

1 - Starbucks allows everyone to come even without a good reason.

2 - Starbucks later clarifies that "improper use of bathrooms," sleeping, drug use, and other things are not allowed.

Just wondering if the real story was they caught her trying to use a faked coupon, she bluffed acting outraged to try and get them to yield, and they goofed by letting her get to them.

Little bit of research later, I found: She had some defective diapers. She reported it to the manufacturer who sent her a coupon for free diapers. So it wasn't a CVS coupon, or one he would have seen before. He figured she was trying to commit fraud and reported it to the authorities.

My guess, having spent a TON of time in ghetto CVS locations (Beating Leisher to it, I live in Detroit), he was probably profiling, or what I would call, playing the odds. Ghetto people are CONSTANTLY trying to scam whenever and wherever they can. He just saw it as another instance. Was he swayed by her color, or by the area?

Follow up question: When will it be racist to have armed security in your store? Lots of ghetto CVS sites have open carry security guards at the front counter area. These stores, and areas, have a high black customer ratio. So, they are only guarding black stores? You never see the guards in predominantly white stores/areas. Profiling racist bastard retail establishments. So, either your welcome armed security contractors with your boom in business as establishments have to guard EVERY site so as not to be racist, or, sorry average customer/store who will no longer feel safer with the armed security guard that was removed from all locations to not be racist.

Pretty sure that's been discussed. I'm trying to remember where. Maybe DC, but a local black female politician who thought a local deli was racist for having plexiglass or something like that between customers and the workers?

I think it was Philly.

That politician, IIRC, was trying to close up these corner "shops" that catered towards alcoholics and meth heads. Basically started selling cheap liquor by the shot at 10AM, tobacco products to kids, and cold medicine in bulk.

I understand it could be a problem for the neighborhood. But trying to pass a law banning plexiglass is insane for so many reasons.

Did you notice the video news story at that link talks about a location closing because of the homeless?

I saw a joke some time back that Starbucks for the first time has opened a location inside another Starbucks.
