Diet....contest?

You probably can't do it, so don't even try.

I'm having a challenge right now due to being in San Jose surrounded by a lot of free drinks and crappy food, but I'm mostly doing OK. We'll see the score when I get home Friday.

Well the bad news is that I'm probably 15 pounds heavier than my recent minimum, but the good news is that I actually FEEL like a disgusting fat sack of crap, I'm sick of food, and I am fully motivated to go back on the diet tomorrow, now that I'm home. I think I'll even go to dietbet and join a 6-month contest.

Low carbs really is the way to go, imho.

Btw, if you want to maximize the $s for dietbet, here are my tips:
1) Join 3 6-month contests (they start 1 week apart)
2) Time them to end right after Christmas, or around Christmas. People have no self control on holidays.
3) Eat a lot, drink a lot, then weigh in after a big meal on weigh in day. This is a free few pounds.
4) You can join ones already in progress.
5) Be sure to uncheck the 25 weigh-in coins for $20 when signing up. The total should say $125 for the contest.

So for instances, there's on that starts today. There's also one that started 1 week ago. You can join them BOTH today. You might even be able to join the one from 2 weeks ago, but it might be too late, unsure. Either way, you can join another next week. Or just those 2.

I made a lot of money last time around, and signed up for 3 more contests at the start of this month.

I've lost 40 pounds in the last month for no discernible reason.

In a month? That's a bit off.

I don't think it's just the scale. Pants are all looser.

Maybe not cancer. Possibly AIDS.

Unless you made some significant changes, I'd seriously check a doc. Could be anything from evil viruses to parasites and everything in between.

No changes. Diet is exactly the same (I've been tracking it for 8 weeks now) and exercise remains unchanged (because you can't go below zero there).

I'll mention it to my Doc when I see him in two weeks.

Given what you just said ... if you got time, I'd move that appointment up. That's coming from a dude who hates doctors and hospitals and has no qualms acting as his own pharmacist.

I've dropped 12 pounds since 6/11.

Assuming TPR's not dying, I'd like to know his secret.

In all seriousness though, TPR, you get to a doctor ASAP.

Well, between the decreased lung function, fatty liver, bad kidneys, and loss of skeletal muscule I'm not really in the best of health, but I don't think I'm actively dying yet.

What are you, a pregnant woman?

If you just had the baby, that might explain the weight loss.

I've been super slack the past month. Being on vacation for every day except 5 will do that to me, apparently.

Got back last night at 222. 220 this morning. Rock climbed, fasted, and biked 50 minutes today, around 216 tonight (hydrated), before dinner (giant salad + cheese + pepperoni). Back at it.
