You probably can't do it, so don't even try.

Could probably start at 500 pounds, have a slightly easier time of it, and still make it.

I have done that. It gets...weird...at around 24 hours.

But I"ve been doing the 16/8 fast/eat split for probably 5 or 6 years now.

It wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. Could have gone longer, but I was about to dive the aquarium and didn't want to get light headed or anything in the tank in front of peeps.

Today is the first day I haven't felt like crap in the keto haze. Hopefully a sign that I'm getting over the first hump

You're fat cuz you stopped moving, not cuz you're older.

I figured that out when I got my first desk job.

I've been skipping breakfast---essentially, doing a 16/8 fast/feed cycle. Went on vacation for a week and decided to also skip lunch, so was basically doing a 20/4 cycle. It wasn't as tough as I thought it would be; we were keeping busy.

Lost around 5 pounds.

Alright, ALL Vacations over. Apparently I cannot resist fried shrimp for the life of me.

Restarted 8/21, and am now down 10 lbs. In early July I was experimenting with low/non-exercise keto, and it just didn't do anything for me. I lost those first 6/7 lbs, and then just stagnated for two weeks. I was only watching carbs (not calories).

Since the 21st, I've been watching carbs only, and exercising moderately (either I bike about 60 minutes or I walk at least 5 miles in a day), and weight is falling off like it's supposed to.

One downside, I only eat about 10 foods.

Breakfast: Eggs, bacon, sausage.

Lunch: Steak, chicken, bacon, cheese, peanut butter, avocado/guac

Dinner: Salad, steak, chicken, cheese, bacon, peanut butter, asparagus, broccoli

Snacks: pork rinds, keto ice cream.

On the other hand, meal planning is super easy.

Down 12 lbs.

Yesterday I did an amateur virtual bike race. It was painful; My HR averaged 182 for the 35 minute race. I've been eating carbs when riding hard.

Today, though, I did a 65 minute workout with no carbs. I had to turn down the difficulty several percents, but I made it. Barely.

5th day of no breakfast today. I'm eating lunch, a mid-day snack (3/4pm), then dinner. Nothing else, except when doing hard cardio, which I supplement with simple sugars. I'm doing a bike training series, and racing on Fridays. Sugars depend on intensity, from 0 calories /minute to 4cal/minute.

Weight is dropping much more quickly on the IF.

I'll say this. I'm so full from my first meal + snack, that my dinners have been smaller. I'm too full to eat what I had been eating.

Day 7 of IF. so far, so good. I'm doing 17/7 or 18/6, depending on how the day shakes out. But no eating after 6pm. First meal is either 11 or 12.

Weight loss going well, will update on Friday, the 1 month mark.
