You probably can't do it, so don't even try.

Tweaked the shoulder last weekend. Took this week off to recover, feeling close to normal, but may wait another week.

Theoretically greenlit for any activity, but doctor cautioned me against overhead reaches (like rock climbing, or pull-ups)

155x12

I accomplished that a couple months ago. Bumped it all up 10 pounds.... just this morning I finished

165x12
185x10
215x8
235x6
215x8
185x10
155x12

For the first time. Again, I was stalled at the top of the pyramid.... I would do 235x4 and get skeered... I did that for a few weeks... not wanting to get stuck without a spotter. But this morning... I just felt strong. I did 6 reps easy, and went back down the other side strong. Fuck yeah.

As for my fear of being too swole for my wetsuit, turns out those things stretch.

Also what's weird is that that first pic isn't in there twice, yet is appearing twice. Even editing, it's only there once.

I started doing squats today. I was at home, so didn't have weights, but I was able to squat my wife + youngest daughter. I could not squat while carrying all three of my family members. *edit* Lifted wife + oldest daughter.

I did pushups 2 days ago, bothered my shoulder a lot. Sharp pains. But they went away late the next morning. Looks like I'm in the slow recovery group.

So... what do yall wear when doing squats and stuff? Ive been wearing normal clothes, and split two pairs of boxers in half now.

Legs hella sore from two days ago, so only do reps with my wife tonight

So, boxer briefs instead of boxers? I'll try it. I have one pair of shorts with builtin mesh that I can try as well.

Yep. And I've never even considered I was ever close to splitting them.

Then again, I've never worn regular boxers in my life.

TBH I only wear underwear to the gym.

Usually I am in the gym at 8am, but since summer started the schedule is weird and today I was there at 3pm.

At 8am it is full of old people.

At 3pm it is full of young men with man-buns.

Strangely, more hot young women at 8am. They must not like man-buns.

Got a TRX system for my birthday to use at home. So far so good. That combined with my dumbbells should provide for most of what I need lifting wise.

Got a 2 week membership to the local climbing gym as well, trying to climb twice a week.

How are the boxer/briefs working out?

I've got a touch of something in my elbow, tendinitis or something. Had to pull way back on the bicep curls which sucks because I was making good gainz. Was doing 45 DBs 3x10 and dropped back to 30's that don't hurt. I just do those slow and easy, draw them out. Hoping I don't lose too much before the elbow stops hurting.

I haven't been squatting lately, as I've been doing more rock climbing. But I need to get a routine going.

Back up to 40lb DBs in the curls. Doesn't hurt yet. I spent a lot of time at 30 and 35, really just conditioning the joint. So far so good. I've noticed that since I gained 20 lbs in the last few months from stress eating, I'm putting on muscle mass and getting stronger, under the fat. So at least there's that.

But I'm back on the zoo dive schedule every week now, so I really need to trim back down so I look good in the wetsuit.

MUST

Smashed the shit out of my middle finger with a dumbbell + rack. One of those pains that leave your.head spinning, about to puke. Then I saw the blood.

Exploded.the meat in my.fingrtip. the skin was.partially.degloved, I pulled it back down.

Actually went to the ER... the nurse at the desk said I didn't need stitches, but that I should get an x-ray to see if I broke that bone. "nah, doesn't feel.broken," and.left. I was mostly wondering about stitches.

Smothered it with Neosporin and a bandaid. It hurts, which suggests no nerve damage. It still.throbs, which means it has a pulse and.no.blood.vessel damage. I'll check back if my blase attitude turns into gangrene and a finger tip amputation.

Going to go back in tomorrow and do abs and legs... prolly shouldn't take it in the pool for a few days.

May also need to cancel this weekend's zoo dive.

Just took off the bandage and gave the wound a good flush. Looks good so far.

Followup: I apparently have Logan's healing factor.

12 days after the smash, there is zero evidence I was ever wounded. Flesh was rended, blood flowed, I wondered if I'd need stitches, and a nurse thought it might be broken... and 12 days after the incident, not even a discoloration or scar.

I'm Wolverine in this timeline.
