You probably can't do it, so don't even try.

BTW what GP mask did you get? My dive shop has an "Octomask" for $93 plus tax. Amazon has them cheaper but I hate buying stuff that I can't try on first..... the 7mm wetsuit was a real leap of faith, and the first one was still too big in spite of the sizing guide.

As of June 1, 2017, I am 50% of the way to my 100 mile goal for 2017. Slightly ahead of schedule.... but with a few weeks when I will be out of town scheduled, so I am still prolly slightly behind where I should be.

I see some extra catch-up swim days coming in October/November.

I pretty much consistently swim 2950-3100 yards in an hour. There have not yet been any derivations beyond that out of... 30 times?

You should mix in some intervals.

I did explain the intervals
Do 5 laps on 90s. Swim each lap as hard as you can, rest whatever amount of the 90s is left, repeat.
But not ladders or pyramids.
Here is an example of ladders:
Lotsa Ladders! The middle distance is ALWAYS HARD and your choice of stroke, the outside distances are always free, moderate. :05 rest after each distance, :15 rest after each ladder.
25/50/25
25/50/25
50/75/50
75/100/75
50/75/50
25/50/25
25/50/25
1000 yards
So you would swim 25 yards, pause 5 seconds, then do 50 hard, pause 5 seconds, do 25 yards. pause 15 seconds, do next. (ADAPT TO HOW YOU FEEL. I do up to 60s on the time between each ladder 25-50-25 - 60s, etc)

Pyramid
Similar to ladders, but larger: (like one giant ladder)
50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 200 free, 100 free, 50 free, RI :20
RI = Rest interval. I tend to use longer (30-60s)

Is the Garmin COnnect website down for you? All day I've gotten a message that says, "Looks Like Our Laces Came Undone
We will be back up and running in a few moments."

Got in the pool today. Mostly to help the kids to do starts.

I swam 4 laps... 25 yards at a time, sprints. Ranged from 16 to 18s, in pool starts, no breathing (I can't turn my head to the side without earplugs, cuz water gets in them). Arm's a little sore, surgeon says I have scar tissue to just fight through.

Felt good.

Every day that I swim I come home, sync up my swim watch, and check my lap averages, and stuff.

I think there's a little glitch in the overall stats, today:

Hit a goal today, over an hour my avg 100yrd time was under 2:00. I hit 2:00 once a while back... today I made it hurt and did 1:56.

I thought I would also be under 12 strokes/avg per lap, but nope, still 12.

But my 41 SWOLF may be a PR. Don't pay much attention to that.

Did a 1:58 average 100 over an hour yesterday... Without really trying.

I don't do intervals or any real training to improve my stats, but I see steady improvement since my watch started tracking me.

Dreadful thought: I am not improving, my watch is just falling out of calibration steadily over time.
