What I cannot do, though, is move to a place with internet like this. We're talking 1-2Mbps.

Yeah. It sometimes goes a little higher, but sometimes is barely usable. Also, we lost power for an hour today.

Yeah... deal breaker. One of the reasons I'll never move to the middle of nowhere like I really want to.

Yeah. We pondered living here again... I can get to Boston reasonably. But as long as I need a job, I need internet

The stinger, cut. I watched them do it to a couple small ones for the kiddie touch-pool, one day.

Ah, makes sense. I didn't see a stinger on the first of the two I saw in St John; Unclear on the 2nd.

Were they, like, behind a net? Disney's island has that. Sort of a controlled population, but in the bay.

We all must do our part to avenge Steve Irwin.

After my youngest stumbled into a small sea urchin, I was ready to kill all the sea urchins.

Getting hyped for Sumatra. I'm a little worried about their complete lack of rules for ground and sea based travel. Gonna have to watch out for boats.

Sometimes the boat drivers don't know what a diver down flag means, so they speed through to get a closer look.

Yeah, a little worried about stuff like that. But skin-diving is pretty common in that part of the world, so I don't think boat drivers will be THAT surprised. I hope, anyway.

I have a hard float, which looks exactly like the baywatch life saver. It's awesome, if a bit bulky.

I lost the attachable dive flag for it last year, and am thinking about replacing for this trip. BUT - it seems like I should get the international dive flag for Indonesian waters? Blue/White instead of Red w/ White stripe that I'm used to.
