I seem to have some mental block regarding that rule. I once read it over and over trying to make sense of it, never could.

Here it is presented in a different way than the NHL rule book:

If you want to be the first to go from the neutral zone into the opposing team's end, you must have possession of the the puck before the crossover, period. This prevents your teammates from sitting down on your opponent's crease waiting for a lucky pass 75% of the rink length.

Tweeked a bit in recent past. Don't let the puck cross the center and opposing red lines without another player touching it (including SOGs).

My family is from the mid-west and are STL fans. I was born in DC, before there was a DC team, thus an O's fan.... to the extent I care about baseball.

Immunity. That's what it took to get A-Rod to admit he used PEDs recently.
Rodriguez, who has repeatedly denied the use of performance-enhancing drugs in connection with Bosch, told investigators that he paid Bosch about $12,000 a month for his services and substances, including prefilled syringes with hormone injections into his stomach, The Herald said. Bosch also gave Rodriguez “tips on how to beat M.L.B.'s drug testing,” the report said.
...
In addition to Rodriguez, The Herald reported that the prosecutors have granted immunity to eight other current and former professional players: Ryan Braun, Melky Cabrera, Nelson Cruz, Francisco Cervelli, Yosmani Grandal, Cesar David Puello, Jordany Valdespin and Manny Ramirez.

It's back loaded though, so there's at least a little sanity in there.

So all these signs went up on the roads coming in to my small little town, "Hometown of major leaguer Chris Bassitt." Is that cool?

His six total career appearances don't indicate greatness.

I'll give him credit for making it up from the minors, which is a bitch squared, but they sent him down again. Teams got short attention spans for pitchers.

A-Hole-Rod "apologizes" in a way only Bart Simpson could.
"I served the longest suspension in the history of the League for PED use," Rodriguez wrote in his statement. "The Commissioner has said the matter is over. The Players Association has said the same. The Yankees have said the next step is to play baseball.

"I'm ready to put this chapter behind me and play some ball.

Pete Rose couldn't be reached for comment as he was choking on his own rage.

Between the constant shitty treatment of Rose, who was NEVER found to have affected the outcome of games, and the new commissioner implying hall voters should ignore PED use, which DID affect the outcome of games, I think MLB has fallen behind the NBA and WWE in terms of credibility.

Thing is you know there are some juicers already in there; they just weren't caught. There's a 100% for certain crackhead on the list of candidates who's been getting over half the votes recently.
To avoid leaving the drug in his locker, [Tim "Rock"] Raines carried it in his hip pocket, and slid headfirst when running the bases.
...
Raines received only 24% of the vote in his first attempt in 2008, far short of the required 75%. In 2009 he received 22.6% of the vote, in 2010 he received 30.4% of the vote, in 2011 he received 37.5% of the vote, in 2012 he received 48.7% of the vote, in 2013 he received 52.2% of the vote, in 2014 he received 46.1% of the vote and in 2015 he received 55.0%.

EDIT: This is also one more reason to hate the Yankees. An organization with any shame would boot him. I can also hear Shoeless Joe rolling over in his grave.
