Srsly. "Winston goes up for the shot, Williamson is on the bench, can't make a play on it."

I honestly don't know what UNC looks like next year. I think we lose 5 of our top 6?

We have 1 5 star, 1 3 star, and are in the mix for 3 more 5 stars.

A couple of UGA players (football) have been arrested.

One is a former OSU recruit. That's 6 UGA players that have been arrested since Feb 28th...

Va Tech's (basketball) Buzz Williams going to Texas A&M

He got Marquette to the Elite 8, and Va Tech to the Sweet Sixteen, 2 pts shy of making the Elite 8 against Duke.

Guess I'd rather be in the SEC, too, though :P

For basketball? Hell yeah. Aside from Kentucky, the regular season is usually a layup.

The NCAA is in trouble.

Paying college players is stupid and would not only destroy most college sports, but would also make most college programs noncompetitive.

However, if you want to give them (significant) cuts of their jersey sales, give them daily expense allowances so they're not forced to get jobs (or fake them), provide them additional educational benefits (imho, I would ensure they have zero costs and full access to advisors/tutors), and give them royalties for image usage, I'm all for those things.

Virginia advances despite their coach not coaching for the last 5 minutes of the game.

Meanwhile Duke is investigating claims Zion's mom was paid by Nike.

And fuck the MSM, that was a 100% good call at the end. They did miss the double dribble, but that was clearly a foul. Gene Salvatore confirmed and so did the official I watched the game with.

Fucking Sparty laid an egg. Texas Tech is for real. That defense is amazing.

Virginia seems like the team of destiny though. They were down 10 at halftime to the 16 seed, should have lost to Purdue if not for a miracle, and got a miracle thanks to a mistake against Auburn.

Wahoo waa! I won our family bracket! :)
Caesars Palace was the first sportsbook to post odds and installed the Cavaliers as the favorites at 5-1 prior their 85-77 overtime victory in Monday night's title game. Runner-up Texas Tech was listed at 30-1 odds.

The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook followed by making Virginia and the Kentucky Wildcats co-favorites at 7-1.

After Virginia, Duke and Kentucky have the second-best odds at Caesars at 8-1, followed by Gonzaga at 10-1 and Michigan State at 12-1. Duke's Tre Jones on Monday announced he would return to school next season, but the Blue Devils are expected to lose Zion Williamson, Cam Reddish and RJ Barrett.
I watched the end of regulation just now. I'm not sure UVA was the best team in this tournament, but damn if they weren't the clutchiest/luckiest.

It's funny, i just spent last week in Roanoke Virginia and i didn't see one Virginia tee shirt, fan, or anyone even talk about them while i was there. Granted, Roanoke is only about an hour away from Virginia Tech and i did see more VT stuff around and even ate at Frank Beamers restaurant, so maybe its more VT country there than UV.

But even so, if i was at a wedding around here and Ohio state or Michigan were playing in a final four game i'm pretty sure there would be some TVs or something going with a bunch of men standing around watching the game. That wasn't the case here, i had to check twitter to see the score.

I guess i was thinking i was going into basketball country, but instead it was far more preppy and no one even seemed to care about the game.

Roanoke is much more VT than UVA. UVA's the snooty side of Va. If you had been in Richmond, or NoVa, would have seen a lot more of it, I'm guessing.

Roanoke's more working class, Toledo like. UVA's more... uh... this analogy really breaks down in Ohio. But maybe Columbus?

Certain suburbs of Columbus would definitely qualify as snooty and high class.

OSU is a bit different than Virginia though. The state is NOT divided like other states. They don't have a VT to compete with for fans.
