Update to my original newbie thread:
Yes, I'm still brewing, approximately 2 batches (batch = 2 cases, generally) every three months. I had to cut way down on beer when I noticed my weight ballooning.
And... I experienced my first bottle explosion, today. Smelled beer in the basement. Knew immediately what that suggested. Looked over in the beer area, and yep, a little river of beer heading to the sump pump. It was one of my big bottles, 32 ounces of beer, lost.
I'd appreciate a moment of silence.
