Just created my first VM in HyperV.
It is soooooooo much easier to do in HyperV than VMWare.

“Every record been destroyed or falsified, books rewritten, pictures repainted, statues, street building renamed, every date altered. The process is continuing day by day. History stops. Nothing exists except endless present in which the Party is right.”

I just do not understand making your tech difficult to work on unless you're a fully trained technician. It makes zero sense. 85% of the business world are SMBs who don't have such folks on staff.
It's the main reason Cisco bought Meraki. Their chief complaint was from customers who were sick of needing a CCNA or CCNE on staff to maintain their network switches, VoIP, etc. So Cisco bought Meraki whose equipment is written logically and in English. It's a lesson MS learned many moons ago as well.
Setting up this VM has been like simply setting up a PC. It could not be easier. Unless I hit some huge glitch I'm shoving my VMWare machines out the door in the next two years.
