I like the deals, but I don't know that I need them.

43" 4k monitor for $525.

I've realized I need a monitor to be about 48" at 4k resolution to read it easily.

Their site is still half broken.

Each year at AWS the DynamoDB talk about how massive the Prime Day traffic is, and all the amazing throughput they do to handle it. I wonder how this year's talk will start.

Our newest TV is from 2009.

I thought about buying this to replace our oldest (2008) TV:

I asked my wife how big/what size she wanted (of TV).

She showed a space that would take like a 70-75" TV to fill. "Whatever you want"

Sadly, Amazon doesn't seem to be selling many TVs.

I find it almost impossible to find deals that interest me when the damn site is working...

Yeah. I don't get it, but their site is fucking terrible for just 'finding deals'

This one is $700 with the long Costco warranty, and a built in Roku.

Needs more HDMI ports. Also, I like my devices outside the TV. I almost didn't buy the one above cuz it only has 4 HDMI ports. Honestly, I'm sure any TV would be a massive upgrade from our currents ones.

We're thinking about expanding the bonus room, so whenever that happens, we'd have to have some ridiculous 70 or 75" TV to fit the space.

I've never seen more than 3 ports, that wasn't a receiver.

75", TCL, long costco warranty, built-in Roku.

I was like you, once. Had the receiver and everything star networked onto it. I dig having the Roku in the TV, though. One remote.

My current TV has 5.

I use my Harmony Hub as my one remote. And it voice integrates with Google. So to start/end activities and turn things on/off, I just talk to Google.

Speaking out loud sounds exhausting. I'd rather just wiggle a finger.

Yeah, I'm all in on talking to my remote for the Apple TV, but that's because the remote is a touch pad, and thus, sucks.

The Oculus Rift + 6 games is $349 today. I want that deal!!!

But I'd rather get it at Best Buy because then I could get it for free. (I have almost $1000 in BB bucks.)

Plus, I noticed last week that BB is completely sold out of Oculus Rifts, which was odd because that's never been the case. It reminded me that I've heard OR2 is coming, and it made me wonder if BB isn't restocking the OR is preparation for the OR2?

Installed it today on a wall mount. Took about 1.5 hours, cuz I'm bad at these things, but it's level. And it's on studs. Which were 17" apart, for some reason that I'm not going to think too hard about. (It's not a real wall, it's a little section above an inset area where you used to put big CRT TVs back in the day)

But it's a smart TV, so it has Netflix built-in.
