Adblockers in Chrome

Post by GORDON »

1. The popular one is now periodically updating itself with "Allow some ads" checked. Check your settings.

2. Did the adblockers just stop working... I use two of them.... or have ads suddenly gotten better at bypassing them? All of a sudden I am seeing ads everywhere.

Or is my machine fucking fucked up? I don't discount that.

I haven't noticed any ads showing up. But then unless it pops up over what I'm trying to do I may just no be noticing them. I don't get to have Ad Block at work so I'm still generally desensitized to them.

I've noticed facebook having a lot more "featured posts" than in the past.

I am using adblock plus alongsude uBlock Origin.

I JUST removed/re-added adblock plus, and my ad problems resolved. It was fucking up or something.

FUnny.... this morning after a PC reboot, the ads are all back. I remove/install Adblock, and fixed.

Something weird.

UBlock Origin has a setting to disable the "disable your adblocker" messages. It seems to work and is nice.
